Western Native Collection

This is one look from the series that is supposed to blend Native American dress with western wear through Different textiles, manipulations to the fabric and symbols.

The peice is ment to be elevated western where so that you can go out out and night and look nice but still not get in the way when you get home and have to do your farm chores to end the night. Elevated practicality you may say.

The vest in this peice is where some of the Native American pieces come in with the beading . Not only the beading reflects the native roots but also the symbols are commonly used through heritage. The shirt is made out of muslin which is commonly used in Native American dress as wells.

Testament of faith…

Hebrews 12:1 “ let us run with perserverence for the race that the lord set out for us.” This is my running matra at this point to continue to fight to get back to what I love and keep going no matter what.

If you don’t know me to well you know I’ve had many battle not just physically but mentally. . In this picture I was doing part of my race routine of praying and giving it all to the lord and trusting him the get me though the race. Many years ago that was not the case. I believe I could do it all myself and clearly that don't work out. But it wasn’t for him I may not be here today not just running just even physical in person.

So my note to people dealing with depression, never give up. Find your people and have people around you that can help you. You never know where you’ll be in 5 years but you have to trust it will get better by @_paige_perkins_
