Angeles Forest out everywhere 🎧

POSTS STORIES REELS

Steep’d returns for our next in Sound session on September 4th at @firststreetmkt with a special live musical performance by @_palmreading_ and visuals by @nandini_designsthings.

Palm Reading is the musical project from sound designer @skoobert and multi-instrumentalist @charlescopley inspired by plant life and traditions of ambient music and deep listening. Palm Reading creates immersive music in collaboration with the natural environment, combining live biodata captured from plants, on-location field recordings, and acoustic instrumentation.

There will be two deep-listening sessions, with social time before and after the performances. Guests will also have the option to participate in a gentle breathwork session during one of the sets to sync with the plants and the music.

Tea service will run all night and is included with entry! We are currently serving a selection from @mem_tea.

Tickets are live with the link in bio! As always, we welcome a few volunteer exchanges, so please DM us or email info@theludo.co if interested in helping us bring this event to life! by @_palmreading_

Scrub Oak At Sunset is out now. Thanks to everyone who has been tuning in to the Angeles Forest singles. The full album is out everywhere this Thursday, July 2. ✌️ 🌱 by @_palmreading_

“Scrub Oak at Sunset” is out everywhere now. We recorded this after fires had scarred the landscape. We were struck by the resilience of the landscape. Love to everyone in LA, especially Boyle Heights and East LA. Praying for cleaner air soon 💚

Our new full length “Angeles Forest” is out everywhere July 2. The last single “Scrub Oak at Sunset” is out this Thursday. This session was magical. Recorded up in a mountain in the Angeles Crest as the sunset set over the fairy lights of LA below us. ✨ 🌅 ✨ by @_palmreading_

💨 sonic smudge 💨 White Sage Part 2 is out everywhere by @_palmreading_

White Sage Part 2 is out everywhere. This track is a bookend to a track we recorded on our first session in the wild in Malibu at Point Mugu. The White Sage plant is a cherished and deeply sacred plant to the indigenous communities in Southern California. If you see it, don’t take it home: it’s heavily over-foraged in the region. We just stopped by for a little collaboration when we encountered it in the Angeles Forest. ✌️ #biodatasonification #plantmusic #ambientmusic by @_palmreading_

“White Sage Part 2” is out everywhere this Thursday. Recorded in Angeles Forest, this track bookends our first release, Malibu, Point Mugu, where we also connected with this sacred herb 🌿 🌀 by @_palmreading_
