필드 레코딩으로 일상을 기록하는 뮤지션 Perila 인터뷰 상트페테르부르크에서 태어나 베를린을 기반으로 활동하는 페릴라(@_perila)는 음악과 시, 시각예술, 퍼포먼스를 오가는 아티스트다. 목소리와 필드 레코딩, 기타, 전자음향을 겹쳐 일상의 경험과 내면의 상태를 기록해 왔다. 가까이 들여다봐야 드러나는 미세한 소리, 자연과 도시에서 채집한 흔적이 그의 음악을 이루는 주요 요소, 페릴라는 이를 ‘소리로 쓴 일기’라고 설명한다. 페릴라는 밴드캠프를 통해 작업을 꾸준히 공개하는 한편, 세계 각지의 독립 레이블과 협업하며 활동을 이어왔다. 2021년 [How Much Time It Is Between You and Me?]를 비롯해 울라(Ulla)와 함께한 [Jazz Plates], [Intrinsic Rhythm], [omnis festinatio ex parte diaboli est] 등 성격이 다른 작품을 연이어 발표했다. 자연과 고립, 기억, 자기표현에 관한 관심은 이 여러 작업을 관통한다. 최근 한국을 찾은 페릴라와 만났다. 필드레코등과 즉흥 연주, 자연에서 소리를 발견하고 음악으로 옮기는 방식, 그리고 음악을 계속 만들게 하는 힘 등을 두고 대화했다. 🔎 인터뷰 전문은 link in bio. The warmth you left in the chair. A receipt you left on my desk I folded four times over. I might look for signs constantly: A dogeared page, a note slipped into a borrowed book, the crease in my bed where you slept so badly beside me. A promise we made privately. This distance I could close but I have a desire to open it again. I want to finish crossing that bridge over the same flood. I want to stop wearing that scarf that carries the feeling of winter and your perfume together. The softened knee of my trouser. I want to forget The loose thread of my shirt worrying itself free from the cuff. The stubbornness of wanting to be found. The belief I might turn to that keeps making promises against all of the available evidence. The knowledge of names I’ve learned and the disappearance of someone or something? It’s same wish to be recognised by you in this moment. Justin did another beautiful poetic compilation @sedessaisirpublish – words are a way to wait. Such a special sonic collection of poetry. This time dedicated to letters sent, unsent, never delivered, kept, folded, erased...”proof of something passing through”. Honoured and grateful to be back at @inagrm studios to prepare a new work ASH that will be diffused on February 14th at Présences électronique 2026 among other amazing performances. ASH is a sonic ritual dedicated to slow time, contemplation. The main character smoke, its dance that can’t be controlled or predicted, the true nature of things. Being dancing on its own terms. Burning time to arrive at emptiness that holds all matter of boundless mind.
