i had to decide if i wanted the look, or my health.
it wasn’t an easy decision. i had my implants for almost 8 years. i got them when I was 17 right after i lost 125 pounds naturally. i went to the consultation thinking he can just remove the excess skin from my stomach & breasts. my bra size went from a DD to an A. the plastic surgeon quickly said there was too much skin on my breasts and it would need to be “filled up” with implants. i was young and thought, okay? if that’s what he’s saying, i mean i’ve worked this hard, i want to look good, right?
i cried when i first saw my breasts after the augmentation. you could see the implant, then my skin sagged around it. over the course of the next 5 years, i went under the knife 3 more times to get more breast skin removed. thats how much there was. 🫠
the final skin removal i was at the hospital crying bc i knew instead of getting them “perfected” again, i should be getting them out. it was 2019 and i had already started experiencing BII symptoms. when i cried to my plastic surgeon before i went under, he said all of my symptoms had nothing to do with the implants. i guess i am glad i didn’t get them out that day, bc i was able to find a surgeon that specialized in removing the entire implants & the capsules.
since getting them out, many of the symptoms have gone away, but i am still dealing with detoxing all of the chemicals and healing my body from the destruction the implants did to my body.
my symptoms:
constipation
bloating
gas
memory loss
brain fog
cystic acne
muscle/bone fatigue
stress
anxiety
chronic yeast overgrowth
bad breath/thrush
pain and discomfort
random numbness
nail fungus
food allergies
hair loss
inflammation
dry skin
lack of energy/motivation
leaky gut

i feel horrible that so many women have gone through this, but am glad it’s being talked about more. there’s no denying or gaslighting from the medical system anymore. they might try, but you are not crazy and it’s not all in your head.
you are beautiful just the way you are sis ❤️‍🩹

loving myself through all the seasons ✨
the last few years have been really hard. the pandemic, getting a remote job, being in a relationship, breast implant illness and other autoimmune issues.
honestly, the slow weight gain wasn’t something i was paying attention to until recently when i started to feel really uncomfortable in my skin again.
this year, i am fully focused on my health & happiness. i haven’t lost the love for nutritious food, wellness practices, moving my body, self-care or living toxin-free. now, i am just navigating bringing what i love back into my daily life all while healing from many physical, emotional and mental obstacles i have recently experienced.
i know the true beauty of each us of comes from within. when i see each one of these photos, i see who i am to the core and what has made me who i am today. i am thankful for each version of myself and look forward to sharing my experiences with others and what i have learned along the way.
if you made it this far, thank you. i hope you follow along and feel comfortable reaching out with any questions or comments 🤍
xoxo

it happened out of no where
of course i have always gotten pimples here and there but in 2018, it felt like my skin was on fire and i woke up everyday with new massive pimples.
i was already on my health journey so i tried cutting out gluten and dairy more strictly, sugar free, all natural face products, etc. it felt like nothing was working. i was 22 and i felt horrible about the way my face looked.
my dermatologist only had accutane in his tool box. i felt hopeless, so i did it.
it helped for a while (and also onset other autoimmune symptoms 🙃) but ab 6 months after i stopped taking it, my acne came back. like it does for many others.
so i started over.
i focused on eating skin healing foods such as berries, avocado, dark leafy greens, sweet potatoes, carrots, fish, peppers, nuts, seeds, green tea and much more.
i drink so much water everyday my friends and family think i am crazy lol
i limit my alcohol, caffeine, gluten and dairy intake.
i drink my @bloomsupps greens, a hydration pack and @armracolostrum everyday
i have a simple but effective all natural skin care routine.
i take a probiotic daily
i wash my pillowcase regularly
i don’t pick at my face for fun lol

this is still a journey for me and my skin isn’t perfect, but i am proud of how far she has came ☺️

little did i know at the time that my body was responding to the breast implants inside of me, but we’ll get into that later 😅

if you have any questions about my skin care routine, please reach out! ✨

pumpkin chia overnight oats 🎃🍎🥣

a little fall breakfast situation that’s packed with protein, fiber, healthy fats & so many nutrients!! when we support our bodies with real nutrients, inflammation goes down & the extra weight comes off 🫶🏼

the base:
* ½ cup gf oats
* 1 tbsp chia seeds
* ¾ cup milk of choice
* 1 scoop organic collagen
* ¼ cup canned pumpkin
* monk fruit to taste
* pumpkin pie spice

mix everything together in a jar, shake or mix well & refrigerate overnight!

the toppings:

* greek yogurt
* sautéed apples & pears with cinnamon
* pumpkin seeds
* peanut butter
* more pumpkin spice
* flaky sea salt 🤌🏼

why i love these ingredients:
🎃 pumpkin is rich in beta-carotene for immune & eye health

🌱 chia seeds are packed with fiber & plant-based omega-3s

🥣 oats support gut health, cholesterol & blood sugar balance

💪🏼 collagen & greek yogurt add protein to keep you satisfied

🍎 apples & pears provide fiber & antioxidants

🤎 pumpkin seeds are rich in magnesium, zinc & healthy fats

🥜 peanut butter adds healthy fats, protein & vitamin E

so many ways to nourish your brain, gut & body in one delicious breakfast. weight loss never had to be about not eating, just eating more of the good stuff. plus it tastes like fall in a bowl 🧡

i’m building this with the caregiver in mind, too. 🫶🏼

realistic support and goals for the person diagnosed, as well as the people who love and care for them. sessions together & sessions alone, because while you may be navigating the same experience, your needs, emotions and challenges can look very different.

my goal is to help families navigate this chapter with guidance that makes room to feel, find hope, focus on what’s within your control, prioritize your holistic health, strengthen relationships & continue finding meaning and purpose in life. i want to bridge that gap between receiving a diagnosis and feeling completely overwhelmed by what comes next.

wellness coaching brings something so valuable to this space. it looks at the whole person, not just the diagnosis. your mindset, daily habits, emotional well-being, relationships, environment, strengths and the things that make life worth living.

it’s about taking everything we know and turning it into realistic, meaningful action that fits your life. helping families communicate, recognize their strengths, make decisions together and feel more confident moving forward.

because even when life looks different than you imagined, there is still so much life to be lived, love to be shared and purpose to be found. i want both the person diagnosed and the caregiver to feel supported, capable, connected and hopeful along the way.

xoxo
