Petrbokův vizuální deník propojuje bolest, grotesku, humor i úzkost a napříč desetiletími ukazuje identitu jako proces – křehký, mnohoznačný a nikdy definitivně uzavřený. 🩹🫂 Kurátor: Otto M. Urban 📎 Vernisáž proběhne 23. dubna od 19 hodin. / ✨ Jiří Petrbok: Patient Diary ✨ Jiří Petrbok’s exhibition will focus on the theme of the self-portrait and present the artist’s work from the 1990s to the present as a continuous record of a changing, constantly questioned “self.” Petrbok’s visual diary intertwines pain, the grotesque, humour, and anxiety, and across the decades, it presents identity as a process—fragile, ambiguous, and never definitively concluded. 🩹🫂 Curator: Otto M. ✨ MOZKOMOR NIKDY NESPÍ (The Dementor Never Sleeps) | Jiří Petrbok & @princ.kamil ✨ 📅 Opening: February 11, 2025, at 6 PM 📍 HIDDEN Gallery, Bořivojova 106, Prague 3 🖼 Exhibition runs until April 12, 2025 After three years of focusing exclusively on international artists, we’re turning our attention back to the Czech art scene—bringing you unexpected encounters with some of its most striking voices. 🎨 Jiří Petrbok, a former professor at @avu_prague , played a key role in shaping a generation of artists—many of whom helped establish HIDDEN Gallery’s exhibition program. ✍️ Kamil Princ is not only a poet but also a close collaborator of HIDDEN Gallery, contributing both on a curatorial level and as part of the HIDDEN podcast. 🔥 Mozkomor nikdy nespí is not a peaceful fusion, but a collision—an explosive clash of Petrbok’s visual metaphysics and Princ’s radical poetry. Here, images become poetry, and poetry shatters into visual fragments. The result? A linguistic and visual alchemy where reality takes on new, unexpected forms. ⚡ Step into an exhibition that dissolves the boundaries between word and image. ⚡ taken in Hidden gallery by @_petrbok_
