Repopulate the Future. ⚔️🛡️⚔️ I’m making a Cyber-Baroque film in my garage..follow the journey

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Gofundme for POPULATION 19 is officially live! They had me take down any mention of donation rewards so I’ve broke details down on my FB page. I need to raise 15k to meet my goals so If you can, please reshare to people you think would want to support an industrial music-adjacent film project!!
Link in Bio.

Donations will help me keep momentum going for the coming months as I finalize preliminary miniature sets and shoot/edit a proof-of-concept reel by December to pitch to A24 and potentially Netflix’s Love Death and Robots series. Expenses will include fabrication supplies, film equipment/location rentals and hiring additional local help (air brush painters, 3D printer specialists, camera operator)

Every donor (no matter the amount) will get a digital download to the POPULATION 19 soundtrack and access to a 20 minute behind the scenes mini-doc covering the last 5 years of my journey developing P19.
(download link will be available at the end of November)

This is the starting point of a business/IP which I’m aiming to bring others into the fold, In hopes to provide work opportunities to to fellow artists stuck in financial/ workplace limbo. POPULATION 19 has depth and cultural engineering behind its philosophy and will expand into greater territory in the coming years. I can’t wait to share everything when the time comes. If you like films like HARDWARE, AKIRA, BLADE RUNNER etc this project will not disappoint. No more remakes and reboots, it’s time for new lore and sci-fi mythos!
Thank you,

Lor Vega

Early test footage of my first miniature sets (from 2020) recently merged with modern ai tools, photoshop and fcp. A great toolbox for exploring environmental possibilities and expanding pre-existing designs for matte paintings ..Scratch-built miniature models were shot on an iphone 7 during the covid lockdown..#minimax #population19 #futurebaroque #diyfilmmaking by @_population19_
