Into the storm… by @_pounders_

Lobster season starts today
🏝
Last year I was back on Abaco when lobbie season started. Was amazing — I got all four lobsters in that first picture in like an hour and a half!! We found an old spear (this slingshot of the sea type thang) and every day I would go out the back door and across the lawn to jump in and spearfish for a while in the ocean. The island was still destroyed, even a year after Dorian. So it was nice to disappear from the chaos for a dip.
As it turns out, I love spear fishing. I tend to be very drawn to endeavors which pull me into complete focus. My mind can be a very fast place and anything which can hold complete attention of all my mental threads for any time at all is a treasure — free diving and (particularly spear fishing) would vortex me for hours.
That + the grocery stores had reopened but everything was terribly expensive, so many nights were either eat what I could spear or have to eat more cat food and ramen. by @_pounders_

Listen. Riding bikes is supposed to be fun. That’s why I ride with @hunter_oden who sometimes has to turn around to get a flip flop (pictured) but it’s always a blast. As it should be. by @_pounders_

Genius and insanity look much the same — the only difference between them is whether the bold claim proves after time and testing to be true or false. In this case such a man is @bloch.sam and I’ll be rolling with him to who knows where with a big ass dome kitchen to find out. @wckitchen by @_pounders_

Super proud of my brother @nateypow27 — except LOOK AT HIS SHIRT 🤪 shotgun game needs practice.
F’real though, he works insanely hard and has a massive heart — I can only hope that on the day I need a hospital I will be met with a nurse like him. Happy birthday dude. by @_pounders_
