I have a new interview with @peopleofprint online now! I got a chance to talk about my life as an artist in NYC, where I've been living and working since I came here over two decades ago. In this extensive feature I had a chance to talk about my work, process, daily routine, studio practice, style inspiration, favorite art making tools, and what my ideal day looks like. Our Crash Course Hybrid Workshop is the perfect class for those who want to start or expand their Riso printing practice but are not based in NYC or too busy to take a full in person class. This course is comprised of four online sessions that cover the fundamentals of file preparation and print design for the Riso process followed by an in-person two day, ten hour weekend workshop in that covers the printing process and gives students a chance to print the work they designed during the first four sessions. After the workshop students will be able to access the RisoLAB during open lab access for the remainder of the semester! Tuesdays from May 26th-July 12th Sign up via link in bio! This hybrid course will introduce students to the essentials of Risograph printing using the principles of printmaking as well as offset print production. Through online lectures and design demonstrations, students will receive technical training in print design and file preparation for the Risograph process using four core techniques: spot color printing, duotone, posterization, and faux CMYK. We will also view a wide range of examples of Risograph work representing several creative fields. Each student will prepare a portfolio of various Risograph projects in the form of print editions, zines, cards, promotional fliers, and other projects formatted for the Riso print process as well as presentation in digital form. Feedback and guidance will be given through group and individual critiques. This course concludes with an on campus weekend workshop where students will be trained in the Risograph printing process and can print the work they've prepared. This course includes subsequent access to the RisoLAB through the end of the semester. by @_pppannn_

Panayiotis Terzis (@_pppannn_) is a painter, printmaker, and artist based in NYC. He is the co-founder and Director of the RisoLAB (@risolab), which he started with MFA Visual Narrative Chair Nathan Fox (@nathanfoxy) in 2015. ⁠

Since then, he has directed the curriculum and creative direction of the space while teaching Risograph printing. Through his publishing imprint Mega Press (@mmegapress), he has released his own work alongside publications from more than 75 contributors. Terzis’s commercial illustration and design clients include Hermes, Bloomberg Digital, and The Atlantic. His work is held by institutions including the MoMA Library, the Brooklyn Museum, and the New York Public Library.⁠
