Graduated with a Merit Pass for my Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Colombo. 🎓

The past 2 years have been intense, early mornings, very late nights, constantly moving from one responsibility to another, juggling two jobs across two time zones & traveling 60km daily, while doing everything from being a News anchor and TV presenter, professional compere, training sessions out of work, Toastmasters, volunteering and chairing conferences with NGSL while also being there for my family and friends🧿
It was exhausting. Some days felt like too much. But giving up midway was never an option for me!
There were moments that truly tested me, especially towards the end of last semester, just two days before submitting my thesis. No one would probably think I would make it. But I did. 48 hours of no sleep to achieve a dream that I felt like was slipping from my hands after going above and beyond for it! Like just before the finishing line ? 😭
These two years taught me resilience, discipline, and how to keep going even when you feel completely stretched. From last minute study sessions with my 2 besties, to stressing on my workload yet getting it done & being present for everything I already had on my plate & giving my 100% …now I wonder was it even me doing it all ? 🥲

Completing my 1st Master’s at 25 and starting my 2nd Master’s ✅feels right for so many reasons( not many will get it )

Above everything, I’m grateful to my Almighty God. I walked this journey with faith, and He never let me down. ✨To my parents, my biggest support system. This was never just my dream, it was ours. Everything I did was to make them proud and today, my heart feels full knowing I did. ❤️
And to everyone who supported, encouraged, or even wished me well in the smallest ways… thank you 🤍
As my mom say, Education and knowledge will take you places, and it’s something no one can ever take away from you. It’s one of the greatest investments you can make. The results may not show immediately, but they always matter in the long run.🫶🏼
No matter how busy life gets or how much you’re balancing, if you really want it, you’ll find a way.

Posting this with a grateful heart on the 11th Anniversary of Ada Derana 24 📺❤️

While I complete 11 episodes of TPS - The Public Square - A program curated to discuss about the most relevant & pressing conversations that shape the political landscape & future of Sri Lanka 📺🇱🇰
All I got to say is…
What a challenge! What an experience ! How many learnings ! Definitely a growing journey that helps me explore so many dimensions I’ve never come across to think through, relate & use my brain for 😌✨
Grateful for the channel, my department, my boss & everyone who supported through, for simply pushing me out of my comfort zone to try out something I’ve been quite reluctant & skeptical to do, which I thoroughly love & enjoy doing even more than reading news at this point !🥰

The pressure is real but love the fact there’s a new challenge to look forward to every week. And yes talk about handling different personalities right on TV & that again while on the edge of discussing Sri Lankan Politics…..definitely not what I expected to live while following my dream on screen 📺❤️🧿 by @_prasansa_

Honored to receive the Best Youth Mentor (Female) Winspiration award at the YOUTH TOP 40, 5th New Generation Asia Awards 2024! 🌟

I’ve always found immense strength and joy in supporting and helping those around me, especially diverse groups of youth in different walks of life. Being a mentor, whether in simple tasks/ long term projects or inspiring someone to believe in themselves, has always been my passion which I crave so much to be doing everyday. The recent experience of mentoring 17 Youth from different parts of Sri Lanka was surely a rollercoaster ride that truly made me live up to my personal motto, ‘walk the talk’ and be the MENTOR I wanted to be, despite it all.🙏🏻

In the various avenues I’m a part of, the different types of people I’ve worked with, and the experiences and exposure I’ve gained at 24 years old might seem questionable to some. But trust me when I say, age has nothing to do with the impact you can make through hard work and giving back to society. The entire society might not always see the little or massive contributions you make to improve it, but the people who you positively influenced will always remember you. And at the right time and place, when you least expect, your efforts will be recognized, in a way where you will want to step up even more despite the judgments & criticisms to DO MORE. That moment can be a turning point in your life. ❤️

Mentoring is not about spoon-feeding but rather creating a beautiful bond where you help someone believe in themselves while supporting them throughout the process. It’s about being the best example you can be and walking the talk. I’m glad I have always lived up to my life principle, WALK THE TALK, especially as a mentor. This award is a true testament to that, proving that you can inspire people with the tiniest of details and create a massive impact 🥺✨

When the panel chose me for this award, they emphasized how I set an example as a good mentor, walking the talk despite the ups and downs. I have always been there for anyone who needed my support and guidance, giving my all without any title as a mentor or coach. Was an absolute honour to be a part of the Board of Judges for the Auditions of the Compering Category of API APIMA 26’ organized by the Faculty of Law of the University of Colombo 🎤

Felt wholesome and more of a full circle moment to be at my Second University where I got to peruse my 2nd postgraduate degree - 1st Masters 🎓❤️

It was also a great delight to be a part of this along with Ravindu Aiya, fellow News Anchor from Ada Derana News Channel 📺

Thank you for having us & I consider it to be a massive honour to being able to chose the best out of the best comperes of the Faculty of Law for the biggest event and stage- API APIMA 2026 🔥

This one’s for the books again ! 🫶🏼
Being able to give back in the same way and even more than what I’ve received as a budding presenter will always be a moment close to my heart. Cuz once
I’ve been at the same kind of places, taking up all such amazing opportunities to showcase my potential and to be groomed by the best in the industry.
