Wow 102lbs! 587 days ago, I started my fitness journey with no intentions of being where I am today. My plan was simply to become more active. I had a share of failed diet plans and inconsistent gym memberships. However, I knew that this time would be different. I have a daughter who looks up to me. She was the driving force behind the self improvement that long awaited within me. At the beginning of 2023, I mentioned to a friend that I wanted to make a change. I confided in her about this matter because I knew that “real friends” always hold you accountable. She shared a post with me, via IG, of a well known trainer, @bodybyted . He offered group training with his program Big GIrls Move and the first week was FREE! No Excuses! After getting more information. I attended my first session and never turned back! To my surprise, I enjoyed every part of it. I won’t pretend as if this has been an easy process. There were moments where I had to demonstrate perseverance & prevail over the obstacles that stood before me. I was determined. After accomplishing each of my goals, I began to feel more confident than ever! One year later, I was down 74lbs at 199lbs. Who would have ever thought?! I couldn’t believe I made it under 200lbs after starting my journey at 273lbs. I increased my weight loss to a total of 90lbs. It was time to take my body to the next level. Your girl was locked in! My next focus was strength training and toning. Sometimes the disadvantage of losing weight, especially at my rate, is that your strength goes with it. I began @thebodybynikky training & meal plan in April of this year. She has taken my body and confidence to new heights! I am in complete awe of the things I am able to do and how far I’ve come. Thank you, Nikky! Meeting some of the coolest people along the way has definitely been the icing on the cake. Special thanks to @djmuzisean for having great vibes& energy when I needed it. Rich Kidz will forever do it for me lol! Thank you @jplayhrd I often questioned ‘what I got myself into,’ but you reassured me that I’d be successful. Thank you @builtbybostick for your incredible enthusiasm & encouragement & push! I appreciate all my #GymGirlz by @_prettyfit.p

Sooooo the 1st pic was five months before I began my fitness journey.. I was living my best life on vacation in Vegas despite dealing with grief daily, I was finally enjoying myself!! I didn’t have any health concerns. Very confident 2pc 👙 and everything 😂 couldn’t tell me nothing! My sister and friends would invite me to workout all the time but I wasn’t interested 🥴 its the truth! But when you finally set your mind to something on your time you usually have a great outcome. To my few friends lol I apologize if I come off a lil pushy when it comes to gym invites or whatever I just care 🫶🏽 and reap the benefits of a healthier lifestyle 😊 #JustStart #healthylifestyle #weightlossjourney #gymgirl #atlfitness #active by @_prettyfit.p
