Another successful Youth Empowerment Summit in the books! 💙

A heartfelt thank you to the Opioid Response Network (ORN), DC Recovery Community Alliance, Song for Charlie, Community Bridges, the Prevention Centers, Howard University, and every organization that made this event possible for inviting Behind the Façade (BTF Clothiers) and our VENT HERE Art Therapy Program back for another year.

It is truly an honor to continue growing with this summit and reaching an even larger audience. Every year, we have the opportunity to teach young people the importance of healthy coping skills, self-expression, and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and substance use through fashion, art, and creative expression.

The conversations, relationships, and collaborations formed at events like these last far beyond a single day. They create lifelong connections that strengthen our communities and remind us why this work matters.

Thank you for believing in our mission and allowing us to continue advocating for youth through creativity and healing.

Together, we’re not just raising awareness—we’re stopping the stigma, one conversation, one connection, and one creative expression at a time.

Grateful for another year! 🎂 This one’s been rocky, but I’m still striving toward the goal. From being featured in fashion magazines to producing a mental health awareness fashion show on October 26, I’m walking in my purpose.
