As a business owner some people I’ve stopped working with due to this. I had to show up for myself and I had to teach myself that in so many instances through life. It’s always sad when you’ve gotta grieve the loss of any form of partnership but the joy to it is knowing you showed up for yourself and their will be so many others that dont know you but know your cause and will show up and SHOW OUT for you. 🚨 THE FED RAISED RATES. NOW WHAT?

Before homebuyers hit the panic button, there's something very important to understand:

The Federal Reserve raising its benchmark rate by 0.25% does NOT mean your 30-year mortgage rate automatically increased by 0.25%.

On September 16, the Fed voted to raise its federal funds target range to 3.75%–4.00%, effective September 17.

But mortgage rates have their own story.

🏡 Mortgage rates are influenced by the bond market.

📊 Inflation expectations matter.

📈 Treasury yields matter.

💰 Mortgage-backed securities matter.

🏦 And expectations about what the Fed does NEXT matter.

That's why I don't want my buyers making homebuying decisions based solely on a headline.

Instead of only asking, “What are rates today?”

Let's also ask:

What payment works for you?

What loan program fits your situation?

Are you eligible for down-payment assistance?

Can we strategically use seller concessions?

What does your complete qualification picture look like?

And for my Realtor partners—if a buyer tells you they're putting their home search on hold because they heard “the Fed raised rates,” send them my way before they make that decision.
