Two killer jazz funk tracks that I like to play these days!! 🎺
You know how I love independent labels so they are surely spinning a lot 😌

Heavy material from David Lowery and Robert Lowe on these two songs 🪩🔥

Everything in there with breaks, solos and long enough to keep you dancing for a while eheh ✨ by @_raw_queen_

Been a few days since my last mix was shared by @zaffa.records through his great series « Midnight Mug »!☕️

I thought I’d share a few 45s as often for the Friday eheh! ✨

Big favorites and top shelf records for the laid back times on the sofa 😌

Head over to the link in my bio to listen!! 🔗

2. Suzanne Ballantyne - Feel Like Makin’ Love

Midnight Mug is back with episode #08, and this time I’m very happy to welcome Paris-based digger and selector @_raw_queen_ for the guest hour ☕️🌙

Some connections in music exist long before you ever meet in person ✨
Raw Queen and I have been connected each other for years, without ever actually crossing paths in real life. But he’s always been one of those diggers and selectors I’ve genuinely admired from afar — you can immediately feel when someone’s relationship with music goes beyond simply playing records. The curiosity, the endless digging, the pleasure of discovering something special and, most importantly, the desire to share it with others 💿❤️

Our tastes have always felt very close, and I guess music has been the bridge between us all along. So when I started thinking about guests for #MidnightMug, having him involved felt completely natural 🌌

Based in #Paris, Raw Queen is a devoted record collector and dj with a deep knowledge spanning Modern Soul, Gospel, Disco, rare grooves and beyond.
He is also the founder of @discostormy, his long-running party and residency at the legendary @djoonclub, where over the years he has invited some incredible international diggers and selectors including @rahaanrah, @djamir70, @red_greg, @geology365 and @mark_grusane (Midnight Mug #06 guest) 💫

And somehow, his hour for Midnight Mug feels exactly like I imagined it would. Deep, warm, unexpected and beautifully personal — a selection that perfectly captures what this series is supposed to be about 🌝

As always, the first hour is mine, before handing over the mug to Raw Queen for the second half ☕️

I gotta love all these disco songs recorded by brands for promotion 🪩

Would it make me buy contact lenses or no filter cigarettes? Maybe 😅🤷‍♀️

I gotta a few of these in the shelves but these two were in my bag recently hehe 🙃

Any other good ones? by @_raw_queen_

Gospel Sunday! 🙏💒

I thought I’d share this obscure little one recorded for the collectible Florence label from CA!

Laid back listening on this one with a beautiful modern soul ballad to get through your Sunday with an involvement of Alvin Cash himself on the flip version but I prefer this side 😋 by @_raw_queen_

So took the time to share some of the last tunes I played almost one year ago at @djoonclub before @red_greg at a @discostormy party before another masterclass from him ❤️

Good memories only 🤗🤗

Looking forward to the next events 💪💥
