🌹 bury our bones in the midnight soil by v.e. schwab

I thoroughly enjoyed the setting more than anything. It was so magical that it was what kept me coming back. The characters were odd and toxic. If I had to convince you to read this, I’d say it’s Twilight for lesbians. 🤭

It was great on audio! As far as the vampire horror/fantasy goes, this story executed the theme of immortality differently. I appreciated the emphasis on loving the one life we are given because what is immortality but a slow death. 💛 by @_readingwithgio

your next creature horror read🩸🕸️🏔️🫈

When the Night Comes Knocking by Katherine Daniel follows Jane and her brother Thomas on a trip to the Appalachian mountains (I’m scared already). Unfortunately, they get stuck at a convenience store and witness a mutilated man that claims a monster is out there.

the monster in question feeds off of people’s guilt and one by one the people start turning on each other. I am 5% in and it wasted no time getting into the action, I am loving it!!

be sure to get your copy october 20th!! 🖤 by @_readingwithgio

threshing day review 🐉🩸🖤

I loved being back at basgiath, it felt so familiar and at home! I decided to reread the first 3 books <3

my favorite povs were bodhi, garrick, & sloane. I learned quite a bit and have been loving everyone else’s theories on how things are going. if we could get another novella on the dragons pov during senior riorson’s time that would be so cool!! I’m so excited for the next two books and terrified of how it’ll end 🥲 by @_readingwithgio

📖 Normal People by Sally Rooney

a tragic story about love, growing up, & the quiet ways people influence our lives. it’s messy, intimate, and frustrating seeing how connell and marianne hardly try to keep their relationship together. I had high expectations and they weren’t met in the slightest BUT I still enjoyed the experience. 🥲 by @_readingwithgio
