highlight of @newyorkcomiccon this year was meeting the lovely @veschwab again! V is so nice and so speaks so eloquently, so her spotlight panel was fascinating— I could listen to her talk about her writing process & books all day

the BEST part of the day was getting to give her a “quick” summary of my thoughts on bones beneath the midnight soil, (which is a piece of ART let me tell you, I cannot stop thinking about it)

addie has meant so much to me, so I was excited to return to an author and book that is the most addie-esque book since addie (and somehow I have even more questions after finishing bones? which I didn’t think was possible) if you snag an early copy, let me know your thoughts! by @_reaganreads

it’s been almost two weeks, and I still can’t get over how much I love my new tattoo 😍

if you know me, you know I haven’t shut up about the invisible life of addie larue since I read it in 2020 (I hand-sold so many copies when I a bookseller) and it seemed like the perfect thing to celebrate my first big girl promotion (I work at macmillan, this book reminds me why I love reading, I’m a dreamer, etc etc etc) so I was thrilled when VE agreed to write the quote in my book at NYCC last year 😍

so, here’s to those defying the odds and dreaming even when things are hard, and here’s to fulfilling those dreams and finding the next dream to chase 🥂 by @_reaganreads

this is seriously one of the prettiest sets I now own 😍😍

@acrylipicsbookishnook graciously sent me a set and I am obsessed! they’ve been sitting on my shelves for a month or so and I can’t get over how pretty they are. the attention to detail of when certain motifs show up in the art 👀, the foiling on the dust jackets, and the full wrap around edges are all beyond beautiful

and, all of this is just in time for my TOG reread! I finished queen of shadows this week and am about to start empire of storms (thoughts and prayers)

I’m incredibly late in posting this but…here they are!!

incredibly blessed to have met the amazing @emilyhenrywrites for the midnight release for funny story. I’ve been a fan of hers since the love that split the world (her YA debut, go read it) was the @owlcrate pick EONS ago, and it’s to date one of my favorite books!

if you haven’t read funny story yet, go read it right now— it’ll make you laugh cry and feel all the feels, as any emily henry book will make you do. one my favorites for sure!

what books are you looking forward to in 2024?

I cannot WAIT for “somewhere beyond the sea” and“brothersong” to come out 🤩🤩 I devoured the green creek series last year (in, like, 4 days) and adored house in the cerulean sea, so I am excited to have these new books added to this beautiful TJ Klune shelf 😍😍

new year, new book, new city— same merch 🌙⚡️✨🌃

two years after HOSAB and I am still rocking my @blissfullybookishtees flannel!! I immediately knew I wanted to recreate this pic and I love it so much 🥺 I got so many compliments on this flannel at the @therippedbodice midnight release last night.

I am so so excited for Flame & Shadow to be out in the world— a 5 ⭐️ read from me! I loved it so much and I can’t wait to hear what everyone else thinks (no spoilers in the comments!! don’t be that person). i’m almost a month late (oops), but here’s to a fantastic year of books, bookish friends, and bookish events in 2023 🎊 ✨

2023 Stats:

• 133 books read
• top genre: romance (shocking, I know)
• created 1 book club that has met 7 times (s/o to my literary ladies, I love y’all dearly)
• 3 literary trivias
• 16 author tours/book events (including comic con, booktok con, and y’all fest)
-> and met so many new friends at these events!!
• 4 new bookshelves added to my apartment (s/o to @julia_gannon and @lifeoflindura for helping me!!)
• countless memories made & new fandoms joined
• worked 3 Gift Shows for Macmillan
• spent an absurd amount of money on special editions & bookish swag
• supported Indies and visited so many new bookstores!
