Journaling.

A place of personal reflection.
Prayers. Petitions.
A place of surrender.
Answered prayers.
Tears. Trials.
Reflection of lessons.

The pen and paper.
The place where you write bits and pieces of the day down.
How can I remember every little thing God has done without writing it down?
I couldn’t.
Yet, there’s still no amount of paper and pen that could hold what all God has done.

I can say is this. Write it down.
Reflect on what God reveals to you.
Write the prayers down.
Write the answered prayers down.

When those days come when life seems to be crashing in. Look back on what God has done in your life and keep holding onto the hem of his garment.

Journaling.
The pen and paper.
Write it down.

Excuse me, sir. Would you take my picture? by @_redeemedandloved_

Communion Chapel October 16, 2026.

A sweet morning and a time of refreshment being reminded of the Lord’s faithfulness.

Our God is a promise keeping God.

“God is not a man, that he might lie, or a son of man, that he might change his mind. Does he speak and not act, or promise and not fulfill?”
‭‭Numbers‬ ‭23‬:‭19‬ ‭CSB‬‬ by @_redeemedandloved_

Matthew 14:22-33

22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.

25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.

27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”

29 “Come,” he said.

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

Something I have noticed for years is that ministries are often being named after individuals—a human being.

My Lord, when did we make it about ourselves?
The church sells merchandise, raises buildings, and places the name of an individual on them.

Ministry was never meant to be about the person doing the ministering, but about Jesus Christ.
Ministry is not about having a title, becoming famous, or gaining wealth. It is about serving. It is about being a servant of God to reach the lost.

Ministry or leadership of any kind should never be idolized.
It is not a “career,” but a divine calling from God upon an individual to carry out the work He has entrusted to them. This calling should be entered into with a surrendered heart, marked by humility, a love for the Father, and a genuine love for His people.

Few Scripture to mediate on (not all):
• General Calling - Matthew 28:19-20
• Leadership Calling - Ephesians 4:11-12

Recently, I listened to a podcast, and while I was listening, I decided to take some notes to reflect on later.

While listening, and even afterward, I began to realize something deeper in the message.

Influence isn’t wrong.
It’s only wrong when we influence and speak without being led by the Spirit of God.

While Genz, is quick to influence and it’s not wrong. Our prayers as disciples should be a little different.

Lord,

Make us into who You’re calling us to be. May we be led by Your Spirit and not by the latest trends or fads. Help us stay more in tune with what You want us to hear and learn, rather than being consumed with what’s happening on TikTok.

Father, take us deeper in You.

Covenant vs. Control

Covenant is a binding relationship of love and faithfulness, rooted in God’s character. Living in covenant is living with open hands, saying, “Everything I have and everything I do belongs to You, Lord.”
Even in pain, He is our hope. When the outcome is still unseen, surrendering with open hands is what Hannah models in the book of Samuel. She pours out her heart and places it in the hands of God.

On the other hand, control is living with closed fists, trying to force an outcome. Covenant says, “God is with me, and no matter what happens, I belong to Him.” It’s not about getting the outcome you want; it’s about trusting God. It’s about a relationship.
