Teeeeeeessss
If you want to preorder one (it will help me pay for them, I am not a rich man)! @espdetroit who I worked with for 5 years is printing them, and I decided to do it a bit jazzier than I’ve done before! $25 bones, $5 additional to ship in usa (can talk if out of the states). Just venmo me your size and address!!! The tees will be ready by my release date (I’m announcing that very soon) and you can also pick it up if you come to the release show! Meanwhile, I got to finish making this music! 🩸🗡️🪽🎠

For context: This art is based on a collage I made for a show I did with @andygabrysiak at @kostudiogallery that @swilliamschudlich curated, and right after the show release covid happened and everything got very strange and changed all our trajectories. When I wrote ‘Broken Concrete’ I remembered this paper collage, and it just felt right. by @_renalien_

Hi! I’m releasing new music this year, it’s called ‘The Horse is Night’ and I’m changing my moniker to Rebirth. It’s a sequel to the tape about my mom from 3 years ago who passed away when I was 3 (a number that can’t help but remain present) called ‘Her Shape is Light’, and how paranormal studies and finding a way to talk to her through the veil helped me know and grieve her. This new music, I’m talking to a lot of ancestors and family (blood and chosen), my grandpas, my indigenous grandma Joan, my great great uncle Ollie who built the first car that ever drove down woodward ave (and was the first engineer Henry Ford hired), my dad’s new mustang car called coffin haha. There is a lot of shadow integration and year of the horse energy poured into it (the horse was my mom’s favorite animal 🐴). I’m bringing the ghosts, the fantasies and the hope in the now all into the sonic landscape. @unchainedfantasy is releasing the tapes and @gwendolyn.dot has been working with me on the music, which has been amazing! Yesterday I recorded a song about @norma.dream called ‘Crooked Wing’ and, I’m dedicating the whole tape to her! She is making progress everyday, I intend to talk to her soon. She is a champion, a miracle, a force of cosmic love. Link to her go fund me is in my bio. These are double exposure pictures I took a year ago when I visited her during her chemotherapy and we played a show together (that I unintentionally made double exposures because Norma is just magic like that). More soon!🪽🪞♾️ ꙮ by @_renalien_

My ears and eyes were delighted! Snippets from yesterday! What a gorgeous old 1930s music/film studio space with beautiful art deco accents! Apparently some famous musicians have spent time there: Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin…wild! Filled with joy by the lovely people and inspiring art from last nite. 💞 I was called a folkloric darkwave ethereal being and that made me feel a bit teary eyed. Thank you @theearandtheeye / @field_spies !!! And all involved! Truly amazing.

This is a risograph poster that will be a part of @marine_penhouet ‘s new @hypnotismezine zine ‘The Cure’ inspired by both the band, and the strange bureaucratic mundanity we experience in the modern age. When she asked me to be involved, making a glitch video felt natural, and then it became clearer that the first track ‘Start the Car’ from my new album made a lot of sense. The poster is stills from the video, link to watch it in my bio (also in that lil qr code for the poster hehe). Hoping we can scheme more together 🪽 by @_renalien_
