A few days ago, Coat of Many Colors came on while I was driving through the beautiful Colorado roads. It made me think of my mom, and I played it a few more times after that.

I wanted to make a few drawings inspired by the song and send them to Dolly. Two days later, I heard she was gone.

I made this today, inspired by her beautiful song. I hope she would’ve liked it. ❤️

Yes. I remember Adlestrop
The name, because one afternoon
Of heat the express-train drew up there
Unwontedly. It was late June.

The steam hissed.
Someone cleared his throat.
No one left and no one came
On the bare platform.
What I saw
Was Adlestrop
only the name
