(Long post alert)

I guess its safe to say I’m having a moment and lost for words right now. Yesterday I was reminded of my grandmother. For those who know me know that I took it really hard and in a lot of ways I was never the same. I’m thankful for her life because she always had a word and some of her last words she said you’re doing right and was proud of me and keep doing what you’re doing. I remember as a kid working hard one day I was over her house and she handed me a blank check and said go get that car you’ve been working hard to get and at that moment I was lost for words and didn’t know how to respond but I eventually understood . Yesterday my mom asked me to go to the store and get her some stuff from the store bc she recently had surgery. I get there she handed me a silk bag enclosed with this charm with everything needed for her to say “go get that saxophone”. At that moment, I was lost for words. It reminded me of the same feeling that I had when my grandmother handed me that blank check and said go get that car you’ve been working for. Her words were we believe in you and she also told me to get my stuff in order because better days are ahead. It made me reflect and ask myself if I’m making the right moves. I can say that I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life. I’m thankful for the good and bad because it has shown where I have fallen short it has made me reflect in the things that I don’t like about myself or the things that I can change to be better and become the best version of myself. in a way I felt broken all over again, but I know that God doesn’t make any mistakes. I am thankful and grateful for the path that he has put me on and I am thankful for all the people that have supported me and been a part of my journey and been in my corner and especially my family. I thank God because he has given me peace and I have found purpose and I am so thankful for this moment. Words cannot express what I am feeling right now. Thank you Mama!!! Thank you Pops!!! A brother is tired today. I had two weddings today and this heat was insane. I got in my truck and it said 123 degrees 🥵🥵🥵. I am super grateful and doing what I love to do, but a brother is beat down.
