⟟ FUTURA RESISTELLAGE ⟟

Two became seven. Nobody saw it coming.

Gongs the size of dinner tables. Tape voices whispering robotic poems. A man standing in the dark until the arpeggios turn evil. Train wagon recordings. Emo Inhaler. Three DJs. Daydreams, news static, secrets... Probably summer's over. Probably not.

Music by:
Will Guthrie & Nika Son
Ruben Patiño
Hiele
Shorlax (DJ)
Nur/Se (DJ)
Swallowing Helmets (DJ)

Another amazing week at @camp_fr with @__a__c__t__r__e__s__s__
Nested in the French Pyrénée, I met with a bunch of sweet and encouraging people, recording sounds and making music. We talked and shared ideas - questioning our creative practices, exchanging stems and techniques - while Actress challenged us, giving an insight to his own thoughts, experience and systems. Truly inspiring ✨
However I couldn't completely blank out the world burning down in all ways... And kept me thinking how spaces and moments that encourage exchange and collaboration are essential and need to be protected - thank you James & Camp Team for keeping it simple, for offering a breather and a little hope ❤️ Thank you @__a__c__t__r__e__s__s__ for the time 🙌 taken in Aulus-les-Bains by @_roberta_miss_

Sonic Faction: Audio Essay as Medium and Method 💯 @urbanomicdotcom
'Picked out words, extracts of conversations, geographical spaces, associated and cut up, arranged, remixed, slowed down or sped up, the listening experience creates a space where worlds can be endlessly imagined and re-imagined.' by @_roberta_miss_

♦️ BODY OF NOISE (RECONSTRUCTED)♦️
(03 / 03)

For the final artist feature, four more reconstructors of Fetter’s Body of Noise – and a return to the dream world of longing, uncertainty and transformation that inspired them.

♦️Content Provider
Suspends the listener in a state of tension and disruption, refusing resolution and holding the track in a space of perpetual anticipation.

♦️Nur/se
Reimagines “The Longing” as a club-ready reconstruction, bringing new momentum to the track while preserving its emotional core.

♦️Novoline
Keeps the original’s playful energy while transforming it into a machine-heavy excursion, where unstable rhythms and computer-crafted textures push the track into distinctly Novoline territory.

♦️The Slow Brown Fox
Transforms “The Longing” into a cinematic journey, where layered and repeating vocals drift towards meltdown, spiralling through longing and uncertainty before gradually resolving into lighter energies.

♦️Fetter
Body of Noise drifts through haunted landscapes, dream logic and existential wonder, where beauty refuses clarity and dancefloor logic warps underfoot.
Body of Noise (Reconstructed) and Body of Noise are available on Bandcamp and all digital platforms.

A post to share this recently released ILIS Herstory podcast @ilisherstory : a project by @virginie.jortay & @malinbjorkleft - for which I had the honour of lending my BBCish English voice 😂 made finally useful! The podcast retraces the story of ILIS through interviews of the original founders and participants, contributing another brick to the building of Herstory. It's a witty feel good podcast with a DIY vibe... and very empowering! 💥 The music is by @kaltes_music
📖 For the story, I met Virginie and Malin back in 2000's through contributing graphics and mixes to SCUM grrrls - a Brussels based feminist zine. They were both part of the editorial gang, writing and publishing interviews, fiery political articles and lesbian content in a 100% feminist energy zone pre-socials - Very intense indeed 🔥
👇Podcast Resume👇
ILIS was an incredible lesbian network founded in 1980 that organised international conferences and disseminated information worldwide. ILIS undeniably contributed to lesbian visibility and laid the foundations for struggles that are still relevant today. In this five-episode podcast, we invite you to discover the remarkable herstory of ILIS, the first international lesbian network, which too few of us know about - And which continues to echo in today´ s lesbian organising. taken in Brussels, Belgium by @_roberta_miss_
