I don’t think I could have asked for a more perfect way to say goodbye to this city. Wipro Bengaluru Half Marathon.

I had absolutely no plans on running this race. I signed up for the Wipro Half Marathon months ago, not knowing I’d leave the city. As the move got closer, the race started feeling impossible, so I decided to drop out.

But I still went to collect my bib. It was T-2 days to race day but I don’t know, after collecting my bib, I felt pretty overwhelmed & I just felt the need to run this one.

I hadn’t trained specifically for wipro ,but this race was never really about the time.

I leave the city day after , and while I ran today, I had so many thoughts crossing my mind.
When I first moved to Bengaluru, I was a mess. I was looking for home in the all the wrong people, the wrong places, the wrong relationships, without realising that maybe home had been with me all along.

Bengaluru is the reason I started running again.

Running has become such an important part of who I am today. Maybe one of the most important parts of the woman I’ve grown into. And I get to take that with me.

The roads will change.
The city will change.
But this part of me comes with me.

This honestly wasn’t just a half marathon, it was one last run through the city that brought me back to myself. And while I process this today,

Adios, Bengaluru. 🤍
Thank you for being home, even when I didn’t know I was looking for it.

I may look particularly happy in these pictures, but I definitely shed a few tears before I left for work on my last working day.
Talk about tough things.

I like to think I’m tremendously blessed. I didn’t just shape a huge chunk of my career at Araku, but also gained a team that I can now confidently call family. @siddhant_mithari @chaitrayogananda @sirajul5500

& along the way , I’ve come to realise that growing doesn’t always mean leaving something behind because it wasn’t enough. Sometimes, you leave because you’re ready to take everything you’ve learnt with you into the next chapter.

Vibes were immaculate at @tcsw10k ✨

Although, I started running a little before the official start line due to course confusion , mats placed early, and people already running with cheering all around. 😅
Lost a minute there, but honestly, I couldn’t care less.

Finished in 1:12, coming off an injury ,and that, in itself, feels like a win.
I enjoyed every bit of the race, finished strong, and most importantly, injury free!🥳
@vian.vf_fernandes we finally met haha
