A year in meals 🥘

Corinne and I moved in together last year, and ever since then cooking has become a major part of my life :)

Its so valuable to have somebody not only teach you the basics of cooking, knife handling, seasoning, etc, but to teach you to use your senses and let them guide you.

I used to be a hardcore recipe follower, but now I've learned to enjoy the process, enjoy tasting and smelling all the nice ingredients, and maybe most importantly: select great ingredients. Now its just about choosing the right stuff and figuring out how to combine it all later.

I've also been so blessed to enjoy the lovely creations Corinne comes up with. Half of these are probably hers tbh, but I just wanted to showcase some of my favourite meals that happened in our home the last year

🥁Get to know our DJs ! 🥁

We asked C.K and Doc Jay ahead of our evening together to share a bit about each other. Not only were we so grateful for them to indulge us in this, but we were blown away by how much chemistry these two had bubbling below the surface 🤩

We chose C.K and Doc Jay as our inaugural selectors because we felt they shared a vision with us musically, aesthetically, and spiritually (!?). We knew they were connected through various labels, podcasts, mixes, etc but had no idea it ran this deep !

If we weren’t excited before, we’re beaming with excitement to welcome this power duo to their London debut together.

They’ll be taking the reins and taking us on an extended back to back set together at the Cause on August 23rd.

🚨VENUE CHANGE - ATTN: ALL SNAILS

We're delighted to announce @thecauselondon has stepped in to host What's The Rush Vol.1 with CK and Doc Jay

The party will now take place at the Gallery at 60 Dock Road.

While it's unfortunate to have a last minute change out of our control, we're happy to be working with the Cause to ensure the vision for the night carries on !

Expect all the same - killer sound, vibrant lights, chill out lounge, snacks and bangin music all night long

We will still be focused first and foremost on building a community of likeminded people who yearn for the inclusive dancefloors of yesteryear. Now we get to do it in an established staple of London, with even more horsepower and room for more of you to join us

🐌🎶THE SOUND OF WHATS THE RUSH🎶🐌

We wanted to share a series of posts capturing the night ahead: from the residents, to the venue, to the guest DJs and beyond to help you get in the slow zone.

At it's core, What's the Rush is about building a community of likeminded people. To find and get to know each other, the easiest signal we can put up is the music !

To start, our first post is from resident DJs, @_ryanpierre and @jolowhitfield sharing their vision of the night's music programming in 3 tracks each. We felt these tracks represented both the music but also the ideals of the community we envision.

Yahoo ! Today marks the launch of my new label Neue Wisdom as well as my first release, Piston /Replica 😎

This is the first music I’ve released since I’ve decided to try and do this music thing for real and I’m very proud to share the first output from that.

The mission of Neue Wisdom is quite particular and hard to encapsulate simply but I’m planning on posting a little (read: big) story to try and capture the essence of what I’m doing and why I’ve started this outlet for my music. I think the easiest headline I could make for the devilishly inclined is:

“Techno ragas for meditation built from recursive algorithms”

If that sounds intriguing to you then stay tuned 🙃

my track piston is being debuted tonight on @bbcradio1 🤓🥳

this track represents my first new music I've shared in 8 years and a milestone for me as a producer. In 2015 I told myself I'd stop putting out music until I was sure I had carved out my own sound and there was nothing ego driven behind the music.

fast forward to this weekend, and im hearing my track(s) played out at @houghtonfestival (infinite respect to the one and only @itspeach_ !!) and being asked for a press photo for radio 1 !!!!

i cant express enough how cathartic it feels to have believed in myself for so long and put aside the noise, the hype, the socials just to focus on my craft and having my music noticed the way I want it to be with no ulterior motives

Cannot thank @djmoxie enough for the premiere and support. Moxie has been there for me since I've moved to London as a friend, example and mentor of this industry and I couldn't feel more grateful for her putting me on tonight

babys first vinyl 🐣

honoured to have been involved in the production of this album. its not "my" album but its still quite a feeling to hold a piece of music you wrote on vinyl for the first time.

massive thanks to @edensamara_ for teaching me so much about what it means to make a record start to finish. I'm honoured to have had the chance to grow together with you making this.

hello I decided to release an EP today

just shedding some old skin, making room for some new skin to come through, and taking time to reflect on the journey

its been a long way to get where I'm at now musically and I thought I'd pay some respects to some of the stones along the way

its that time of month again !!

don't give in to the myth of perfection !! well, unless you think you're perfect as you are, in which case its not a myth !

perfection is in the moment ... but I'm not even gonna be talking about that today I just liked this picture and felt the need to talk about it

todays vibe is all about allowing life to unfold, exactly as it's meant to. hope to see you along for the ride !

this all has meaning. whatever you're going through, it's a prerequisite for who you need to be.

it might not make sense right now, and you might be asking yourself why ? but you can't tell the snake to molt, it just does when it's ready. the caterpiller doesn't become the butterfly because it wants to, it just happens when it does.

you can't choose when it's your time to change either. the universe has already decided for you, and you're just along for the ride. this sadness is the path to the next you.
