Seven years ago, I lost my brother.
Time has moved forward, but the impact he made on my life hasn’t faded. He wasn’t just my brother he was my teacher, my protector, and my example. Losing him changed me forever. It left a chip on my shoulder not out of anger, but out of purpose. A quiet drive to be stronger, to do better, and to live in a way that would make him proud.
He taught me strength, the kind that keeps going even when life hurts. He showed me loyalty, how to stand by the people you love no matter what. And most of all, he taught me kindness.
He always reminded me to be good to people, because you never know what they’re going through. That lesson means even more now. You never know when a conversation will be your last. You never know who is fighting battles in silence. So be patient. Be understanding. Choose compassion.
My brother, my angel, still shapes the person I am today. In the way I carry myself. In the way I treat others. In the way I push through hard days.
Seven years later, I miss him every single day. But I carry him with me in everything I do.
My brother.
My strength.
