POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
10•10

Some evenings feel like they were woven together long before we ever gathered… and this one felt especially magical. šŸ¤

Every detail of our October Sacred Flow gathering was intricately thought through and intentionally placed — from our communal ofrenda honoring the loved ones who walked before us, to the earthy apothecary 🪓 where we blended our own salt bath šŸ› soaks and dream/intuition šŸ’pillow satchels. Each little piece held meaning, intention, and a reminder that the sacred is often found in the smallest details.

We gathered to share the moments when our ancestors and loved ones seemed to reach across the veil and remind us that love doesn’t simply disappear when someone leaves this world.šŸŒŽ

Jenny shared a recent story of an unexpected visit from a stunned, weakened hawk in her backyard. Rather than flying away, this beautiful creature allowed her to gently hold it. ā€œWho sent you?ā€ She casually asked. Hawks are often seen as symbols of perspective, spiritual awareness, courage, and messages from the unseen.

Michol shared an experience of feeling her mother’s presence while reading in Spanish. Her mother had been fluent in the language, while Michol herself wasn’t. In that moment, something familiar connected her to her mom in a way that felt unmistakably personal. A little thread between worlds, woven through language, memory, and love. šŸ’—

And then there were the connections happening right in front of us…

A newly pregnant woman found herself connecting with a birth doula. A woman navigating grief connected with a grief counselor. Women who had never met before discovered that the person sitting beside them carried exactly the kind of experience, wisdom, or understanding they needed.

Coincidence? No way. There was something beautiful about watching these connections unfold so naturally, as though each woman had been gently guided to the very place she needed to be that evening. ✨

Isn’t that part of the magic of gathering?

✨ The NEXT women’s gathering circle is nearly ready to open, and we’d love to have you with us! ✨

As we move through 10/10, a time of powerful alignment, new beginnings, stepping into your next chapter, and the possibility-filled energy of this window, the veil thins, and the autumn air invites us to remember our roots. This month, we are interweaving our flow with the beautiful tradition of Día de Los Muertos to honor the women and loved ones who walked before us. Together, we will honor their memory, settle into deeper alignment, and craft personal magic to take home.

šŸŒ™WHEN: Saturday, 10/10 @ 7:00 PM

🌿WHERE: The usual – my place!

šŸŽ†THE EVENING INCLUDES:

•Communal Ofrenda (Altar): Honoring our lineages

•The Sacred Flow Earth Apothecary: Intentionally hand-blending your own Salt Bath Soak… and… Dream & Intuition Pillow Satchel with organic salts and mugwort.

•10/10 Ancestral Flow & Story Sharing: A space to share the continuous presence of those we’ve lost

šŸ•ŠļøWHAT TO BRING (if you feel drawn):

A photograph or small token of a passed loved one for our communal altar… or…
A story or memory of them—specifically a moment you felt their presence or knew they were still with you after they passed

My personal favorite… a meaningful family or ancestral recipe or dish to share — this tradition has become such a cool part of our gatherings! Optional tho!

As always, come in whatever feels good — cozy layers or casual if you want! Feel free to bring any girlfriends, sisters, daughters, or mothers you feel drawn to invite.

Space is limited to keep our connections meaningful!

šŸ”„ Suggested support: $10+ … if you’re able! Venmo @Sacred_Flow

I loved the opportunity to talk about signs and connecting to Sprit at the @_sacred_flow_ gathering last week. What I loved about it most was hearing how others related to what I shared, holding space for one another, and making new connections. So grateful šŸ’›šŸ™šŸ’› by @_sacred_flow_

🌿 A little herbal hanging trick I love!

When I’m bundling herbs to hang and dry, I make a super simple twine/jute/string wrap that gives me a little loop for hanging and a tail that helps secure the whole bundle.

Today I bundled mugwort and catnip.

Here’s how I do it:

🪓 1. Start with your twine.
Leave one end longer than the other and create a small loop near the top. This loop will eventually become your hanger.

🌿 2. Gather your herbs into a little bundle.
I like to arrange the stems so they’re fairly even and the bundle isn’t too thick.

🧵 3. Place the loop around the top of the bundle.
Hold the loop in place while you begin wrapping the twine around the stems a few times. Keep your wraps snug enough to hold everything together.

🌱 4. Here’s the little trick…
After you’ve wrapped the jute around the top of the bundle a few times, take that longer tail you left at the beginning and use it to tie everything off.

✨ 5. Tie it, hang it, and let it dry.
The little loop at the top becomes your hanger, while the longer tail gives you an easy way to secure the bundle without needing another piece of string.

Simple little tricks like this are the best!

There’s something so cool and connecting about walking out our back door, gathering herbs from our herb garden and giving them a cozy little place to rest while they slowly dry. Then putting them in a cute glass container to be used when we need them!

✨ 9/9 — A NIGHT OF REMEMBRANCE, CONNECTION & SIGNS ✨

So many new faces joined our circle, and somehow, within minutes, women ranging from 15 to 92 were laughing, sharing, listening and connecting.

We gathered around the theme of the 9/9 portal — completion, release, spiritual clarity and deeper connection with what exists beyond what we can see.

Karin McLean opened the door for us to talk about something so many of us have experienced but perhaps never knew what to call — signs from the people we love who have passed on.

My 92-year-old Great Aunt Ellen joined us and shared a few of her own life stories where she felt Spirit guiding her. Then there was Viviana’s delish taco ring, Bianka’s blue butterflies, Kylie’s realization that she HAD been receiving signs but just hadn’t recognized them, stories of loss šŸ˜• and stories of light ā˜€ļø.

A song that keeps showing up. šŸŽ¶
A feather. 🪶
A familiar scent.
A dream. šŸ’
A number.
A little ā€œcoincidenceā€ that feels too perfect to be just a ā€œcoincidenceā€.

Maybe we just need someone to remind us to notice. A reminder… and a remembering.

Remembering that love doesn’t simply disappear. Remembering to trust our intuition. Remembering to pay attention to the little things. Remembering that our stories, our ancestors and the people we’ve loved can continue to touch our lives and are still with us.

And perhaps most importantly…
remembering that we are never quite as alone as we sometimes think we are. šŸ¤

Thank you to every woman who stepped into this circle — the familiar faces, the brand-new ones, the stories shared, the laughter, the tears 🄹, the food, the recipes, the signs and all the beautiful connections in between.

This is Sacred Flow. šŸ’•

Women gathering. Stories being shared. Wisdom being passed down. And little pieces of the sacred finding their way into ordinary everyday moments. ✨

Just like every time, you came as you were. This time you left with a little more remembering of who you are.

Flow into the sacred.
Flow into YOUR sacred.

🌿 A Remedy That Became Part of Our Family Story 🌿

When I was little, my mom, Maria, found a natural cold remedy in an herbal booklet she picked up at an herb shop on Foothill Blvd in Sylmar, CA.

And then she made it hers.

She’d sit me on the kitchen counter in our Sylmar home, mixing up her healing goodness of ginger, honey, and lemon. She’d patiently hold out a tablespoon (which looked and was HUGE to me back then šŸ˜…) and count:

ā€œ1… 2… 3ā€¦ā€

āž”ļø

And every time I’d back out because I was NOT ready for what I thought was terrible-ness, ha! Again. And again. Eventually she’d get frustrated, squeeze my cheeks, pop my mouth open, and in went the spoon. šŸ˜‚

It became one of those little remedies woven into the fabric of my childhood — something my mom reached for when one of us was sick. A simple recipe, made with simple ingredients, and given with a whole lot of love.

Fast forward to last week — Autry got sick before the weekend, so I taught her how to make it! She made dose after dose, several times a day, just like my mom did for me.

Then two days ago, I came down with a sore throat… and immediately got on it. Even though rumor on the street is this bug is a bad one, my symptoms are already fading.

āž”ļø

Age has definitely changed my taste buds šŸ˜‚ — and I gladly swallow the deliciousness because now it carries so much more than ginger, honey, and lemon.

It carries memories of my mom. It carries a little piece of our Sylmar kitchen and those childhood days.

And now it’s being passed on again.

Here’s the recipe:
• Equal parts fresh ginger + honey
• Juice from half a lemon
• Warm gently so everything incorporates (warm, not hot hot because we want to preserve all of the goodness)

Dried ginger powder works too — I just let it sit in the juices a little longer before taking it.

āž”ļø

I love how family traditions don’t always have to begin generations ago to become part of our lineage.

Sometimes someone simply finds…something that helps… and somewhere along the way, it becomes ours.

This is how things get carried forward. Through love, memory, ritual, and the hands of the women who came before us.

Flow into your lineage.

✨STEP INTO THE 9/9 SPACE WITH US! ✨ On Wednesday, 9/9 at 7pm, I’m calling in another circle of intuitive women to gather! This one is all about the 9/9 portal — a day of completion, release, spiritual clarity, forgiveness and deeper connection with the unseen beyond this physical world.

We’re welcoming KARIN McLEAN, author of Bright Days Do Come. Karin will be sharing her message that life—and love—continue beyond death. Through her experiences of receiving signs from loved ones on the other side, she shares the understanding that our lost loved ones are never truly lost.

Her message centers on learning to connect with both our loved ones in spirit and with our Higher Selves. She also inspires others to recognize the gifts that can be found in the hardships we face. Karin shares her experiences to help others open to the possibility that signs from the other side are real, that death is not the end, and that although life brings many storms āš”ļøā€” bright days do come. ā˜€ļø

This gathering will create a space to honor the connections that continue, the love šŸ’• that remains, and the intuition that guides us. šŸ—ŗļø

Come with curiosity.
Leave with remembrance.
Honor the love šŸ’• that never leaves!

As always, come in whatever feels good — cozy layers & open energy. Feel free to bring any girlfriends, sisters, daughters, or mothers you feel drawn to invite.

šŸ†• If you’ve experienced signs or moments of connection with someone in spirit, you’re welcome to bring that story into the circle – we would love to hear it!

We’ll also have a simple, meaningful make‑n‑takes aligned with the 9/9 theme of remembrance, release, and connection.

šŸ“If you’d like, bring a meaningful family or ancestral recipe to share — this tradition has become such a cool part of our gatherings! Optional, always.

Flow into the sacred. Flow into YOUR sacred.

My dad died on August 28, 1997.

For 29 years, August has been a month that brings memories close, like they’re sitting right beside me. It seems to bring my dad closer, too.

Today… those memories came alive again.

This morning R & A, the parents of my best friend in high school, came by for a short visit. She came despite her severe chronic pain. They brought homemade raspberry rolls made from their own raspberries and homemade French onion soup made from garden onions they had bottled.

After they left, I found myself sitting with how thoughtful it was. Lately it feels like I’m constantly being met with this overflow of goodness all around me. Ā I then sent a text to Anna — my friend since high school (these were her parents who had stopped by) — and she replied:

ā€œThey are the salt of the earth, good people. Some of the best. I know this week in August is rough. Has been for 29 years šŸ’›šŸŒ¼šŸ’›.ā€

Her words landed exactly where they needed to. I was reminded what week this is and responded:

ā€œI thought about the 28thĀ last week when I looked at the calendar to map out this week. Totally forgot about it til you mentioned it today. THAT’S WHY they came… intentional or not… that’s why they came.ā€

Last night, I finally opened a book I found at Savers (a local thrift store – my dad loved thrifting) two weeks ago — Songs of the Earth, a collection of Native American photographs and teachings. My dad had always been drawn to all things Native American. He used to tell me he felt misplaced in time — that he should’ve been born in the 1700s, where his spirit would’ve fit more naturally. Ā I had been meaning to go through this book for the past 2 weeks, but hadn’t opened it until almost bedtime last night. It was powerful. Emotional. Medicine.

(Continued in next caption… swipe left to go to the next photo/slide… āž”ļø)

As I flipped through the pages, my eyes drifted to the counter space next to it — to the feather stickers I ordered for our next Sacred Flow women’s gathering that arrived that day… and the feather wax seal stamp beside them that had also arrived that day, independently of the other package. Oranges on their way out… so sliced them thin and strung them on a string. Cut the string long enough to have a little space in between each slice so each slice dries nicely. Tied the string in one of our pine trees. They’ll be nice and dry in a few days because of the 90+ weather. Then into a glass jar to add to my dried botanicals collection!

Ancient heirloom grain Khorasan bread. In my mom’s (now mine) old school Bosch mixer which is easily 45 years old and going strong! My earliest memories are of her using this exact mixer to make whole wheat bread that she would just be taking out of the oven when we got home from school.

Simple ingredients. Pure taste. Deep connection. And the smell in the kitchen???

Yes, that little mound of flour is uncomfortably intentional at first šŸ˜‚ā€¦ because I love swooping it off with one swipe of the finger 😁

Khorasan flour (aka Kamut)
Warm water
Yeast
Local honey
Butter (or coconut oil)
Salt

Mmmm mm mmmmm.

A little herbal magic for a mama-to-be! šŸ’•

Yesterday morning, on a whim, Brilee, a soul sister of mine sent me this text message (I met her for the first time last year at @graceharringtonmurdoch polarity training when she did a several day class in Utah… Brilee was my partner):

ā€œHey jenny I wanted to ask you something. I’m looking to make a postpartum herbal bath blend for my cousin however I don’t have all the ingredients! I know you have lots of herbs & I was hoping I could possibly buy a small portion from you to make this. And if you’re up for it we could make a candle as well. Just an idea šŸ’” let me know your thoughts šŸ’.ā€

It ended up working out for Brilee to come over that same night (despite a crayyyyyzy morning and afternoon for me… more details will come later when the time is right about all of that bizness). She began creating the coolest baby shower gift for her cousin—a beautiful herbal bath mixture filled with herbs chosen intentionally for their traditional healing and nurturing properties.

She also wanted to make a beeswax candle infused with divine feminine energy—a little reminder of the strength, softness, intuition and innate wisdom that lives within us women. ✨

Brilee slowed down, felt into each herb, and handpicked the ones she was drawn to. Then we spread out natural tea bags, a few little boxes, bags, tissue paper and ribbons (self admittedly… I already had these because I lovvvvvve cutesy packages and cutesy packaging and love collecting ā€˜em!) and she created the perfect gift - the perfect inside gift wrapped up in beautiful outside packaging.

A little Earth.
A little feminine magic.
A whole lot of love.

May every bath feel like an enveloping of mother earth’s love through the warm, calm water… and divine motherly love… and healing through the frequencies these sacred herbs hold.

May every candle flame remind her of her own light.

And may she feel held, nourished and loved.
