Lore:
Aiko was part of the Kagami group that settled in Konoha during the Shippuden timeline after their clan was destroyed. Back when their home was merciless attacked, she lost her voice duo to the shock, which made it very difficult for her to communicate with those around her. Thankfully, her clan companions (and especially Saigo) learned to adapt to her, but the villagers from Konoha didn’t seem to have the same patience.

That’s when Amaya showed up. They clicked pretty fast and became best friends in a very short period of time, so they started to spend more and more time together where Amaya offered lessons on which Aiko started to regain her voice. While she did big improvements thanks to that, she was still far from being able to express herself.

During the blank period of time, she kept her hair short. Previously, she cut it right after the 4th great ninja war once Saigo and another close friend of her decided to leave the village for personal reasons. Left alone with almost no one to lean once (since her friend Amaya was also absent), she could only lean on herself and cry when no one was watching.

Yet she kept persevering and slowly, wanting to impress her old friends for the chance they might meet again, she started to regain her voice little by little.

Eiji is patient. Veeery patient. He lets Homura take his anger out on him. So when Homura complains, yells, or insults Eiji, he just listens and doesn't do anything at all. He even finds it pretty adorable when the other one has that grumpy face all the time. But sometimes even someone like Eiji has had enough. Even so, he still sticks by him 😩😂

I haven't posted in a while and since I don't want this account to go to waste, imma leave this sketch of Homura in Boruto ｡⁠◕⁠‿⁠◕⁠｡

He's roughly 37 years old. He managed to awaken his clan abilities somewhere in the blank period. Stole one of Eiji's earrings as a memento before he dumped him lmao.

He's also blind now, so thoughts and prayers to him 🙏

Got a few more piercings, but I'm still deciding where to place them.

Might change it later, who knows.

Even if many times Homura and Eiji would argue over the most trivial things, Eiji quickly found the way to make the shorter man shut his mouth: one pat on the head and Homura was quick to seal his lips.

He never really understood why Eiji had this effect on him, but it never lasted more than 10 seconds. One pat, two pats, a few seconds of silence and then Homura would go back to call Eiji an old idiot.

"I really hate you...—"
"There, there, boy, I know you don't mean it."

【 How cruel, that something so gentle could shake him. 】

Eiji’s fingers barely grazed his cheek when Homura froze in place.

Such a gesture shouldn’t have hurt. There was nothing cruel in it, nothing to fear, yet something inside him cracked beneath it. His throat tightened and his eyes burned as he fought the instinct to pull away before Eiji could feel him trembling.

He knew what to do with anger, rejection, even loneliness. But tenderness?

Tenderness slipped between every wall he had built and touched the part of him still quietly aching to be held.

So when his cheek finally leaned into Eiji’s palm, it felt almost like a silent confession:

-very hostile towards anyone;
-sullen most of the time;

Bio: If you have to pick one word for Homura, that would probably be “unlucky”. Unlike the rest of the clan members, he wasn’t able to develop his abilities to the fullest, which in turn brought him the shunning of not only his family, but everyone around him that kept their holy traditions above anything else.

Left to tend to himself, he learned to depend on no one and to always double check his surroundings.

Years later, once disaster struck and the clan was mercilessly erased, he hid himself deep into the woods, struggling to survive on his own with the constant fear that hunters were still after him.

With no jutsu to rely on, he developed a kin ability for poisonous plants, embodying all his weapons with them, reason why over time both his arms and his legs began to swallow.

Fun fact:
-his facial marks are make-up made. Fearing that some might still recognize the upper eyelids ones, he started to hide them through this method;
-he carries lots of weapon in his pockets, especially small star shuriken and poisonous needles;
-one of his hair pins is also a poisonous needle, carried around like that in case of extremely emergency.

[EIJI x HOMURA]

HOMURA'S POV:

Love always felt like something that was not meant for Homura, that it only belonged to other people. He had learned to survive on his own without expecting warmth, convincing himself that loneliness was easier to mentain rather than seek something that wasn't his.
That's what he thought, but all those voices seemed to shatter every time Eiji was near.
Their eyes met in silence.
Homura couldn't explain why he didn't look away this time, and strangely enough, his mind was silent, with no voice telling him to keep his distance.
Before he realized what he was doing, his hand began to move.
Slowly, almost timidly, his fingers reached toward Eiji's head, hesitating for a short moment before gently brushing through his hair. The motion was clumsy, as though he was testing whether someone like him was truly allowed to touch another person so affectionately.
His fingertips lingered there for a moment, a deep longing awakening within him, telling himself that perhaps, just once, he could reach for someone without the fear of being pushed away.
And just like that, for the first time in longer than he could remember, his heart chose to move before his fear could stop it.

EIJI'S POV:

Touch had never meant anything to Eiji. It was always just a tool, an action with a purpose behind it. Something temporary, something he allowed only when it was necessary. He had never let anyone get close enough to touch him without a reason.
No one had ever reached for him simply because they wanted to. No one had ever shown him that kind of quiet gentleness.
So when Homura's fingers brushed through his hair, Eiji froze. His first instinct was to question it, to search for a reason behind such a simple gesture. But there was nothing to find.
And strangely enough.. he didn't want to stop it.
The feeling was unfamiliar, something he couldn't explain, yet it was unexpectedly pleasant. For the first time, he found himself wanting someone's touch to last longer, even though he had no idea why.
He didn't understand what was happening, but he knew one thing - he didn't want Homura to pull away. by @_saigo.kagami_

When one is sent to kill and the other struggles to survive, what kind of story might surface?

That's perhaps the shortest description/question one could come up with about Eiji and Homura. Sent by the special forces of Kirigakure to hunt down the remaining Kagami fugitives, Eiji is slowly approaching Homura in a desperate attempt to gain his trust. He doesn't hesitate to use all the skills he has at hand, including manipulation, deception and even a fake story about his past.

On the other hand, Homura keeps his resolution strong, but the more he keeps this distance between them, the more Eiji manages to get under his skin.

It all becomes a game where neither of them seems to fall behind.

A silent battle of patience and deception unfolds between them, each of them trying to outmaneuver the other without revealing their true intentions. Homura struggles to protect the fragile heart he has hidden for years, while Eiji finds himself lingering longer than necessary, questioning feelings that were never supposed to exist.
