Very grateful to have won the @cityofrockingham art prize yesterday with my work Cosmic Horror. The show is now open and there will be artist talks on the 29th for anyone keen to hear about the process behind some of the finalists works.
A huge thank you to the judges, curator @sandymurrayarts , @rockinghamartscentre_friends and @expired.eye for spending the day driving around the Gold Coast with me documenting these interventions.

Void_Melbourne is delighted to announce Walyalup artist Sam Bloor's debut solo exhibition with the gallery, Good News About Hell, opening this Thursday, 01 October 2026.

Please join us for the official opening celebration this Saturday, 03 October from 4 pm. All are welcome.

Bloor’s debut East Coast solo exhibition documents a selection of his large-scale outdoor billboard interventions that appeared through Western Australia, Queensland and Victoria between 2023 and 2026.
The poetic text provocations, presented in stark black and white, oscillate in tone from societal to existential, from private to emotional — playing out in anonymous, often unglamorous, roadside environments.
Offering viewers no context, the fleeting messages - presented in Bloor’s trademark font - invite passing audiences to steal a moment of reflection, repurpose the message as a mantra, or enjoy an unusual instance of curious ambiguity.
This exhibition marks the first instance a survey of Bloor’s outdoor billboard works has been presented in a gallery setting; in doing so, Bloor transforms his large, outdoor, anonymised interventions into an intimate and personal, human-sized presentation.

For the last few months I’ve been working to set up and deliver the first community photography prize at @piazzafremantle . It’s been a huge amount of work and it’s now open everyday until the 26th. We have a closing weekend party on Friday 24th from 6-8pm coinciding with an exhibition opening in the gallery by @jeeeesssssseeee . We would love to see you there.

These things take a team and there’s too many people to thank (including everyone who entered). But to give it a go:
