This has been five months of stress, self doubt, and constantly questioning whether I was good enough. Auditioning has tested me in ways no one really prepares you for.

I auditioned for five schools and came away with four incredible outcomes two degree offers and two recalls.

I’m beyond grateful to say that I’ll be continuing my training on the BA (Hons) course at Wilkes Academy of Performing Arts this September.

Thank you to every teacher who has invested their time, belief and energy into me. I wouldn’t be here without you.

This is a dream come true.
See you in September, Wilkes! by @_samfletcherevans_

I keep writing and rewriting, trying to put how I feel into words, but I just cannot comprehend how to put into words the love and pain this awful tragedy has brought me. My darling Nuala, you were my best friend, my sister, my soulmate and everything you can put into words that defines light. Whenever I was down, you were there, whether it was through a message, a call or in person, because that’s the lovely girl you are. You always made sure to be there for people no matter what you were going through yourself. You are selfless, a true trooper, and I am so grateful yet completely heartbroken that your final moments were spent with me. And you, girl, what a life you lived. You loved, you laughed, you made sure to make the most out of everything and you loved a good night out. I hope you’re drinking a vodka and coke up there now, laughing at us all for being so upset, because that’s the kind of lovely person you are. The fact that you have left us has devastated so many people. Not only did I gain a sister, but I gained a second family, and my heart and sympathy right now is with Emma, Gerry and Keeva, who I will continue supporting for you, my beautiful girl, and I will carry on your legacy. On Sunday, we were talking about our dreams and all the things we planned to do, and when I said goodbye to you at the train station, you gave me a hug, winked and stuck your tongue out. Your final words to me were, “Love you baby, see you soon.” Little did I know that shortly after, I would be grieving you alongside your family, your friends and everyone who has come together to celebrate your life. I promise I will continue your legacy, Nuala, and I hope I make you proud, always. I love you so much, forever 19. Keep dancing up there, my showgirl. #LLN ❤️🪽🕊️ by @_samfletcherevans_

First day at Wilkes.

Feeling so grateful that I get to start this next chapter doing what I love. It still feels a little surreal that I’m actually doing a degree, but I couldn’t be happier to be here!! Bring on the next 3 years 🖤💛 by @_samfletcherevans_

I genuinely cannot believe I’m writing this, but after two incredible years, my time at Arts1 has come to an end.

This is a goodbye that I am nowhere near ready to say. Arts1 has been so much more than a school to me it has been a home, a family, and a place where I have grown more than I ever thought possible.

When I first arrived, I was the person who was too scared to sing in a room full of people. Looking back now, I can hardly recognise that version of myself. The confidence, skills, memories and friendships I leave with are things I will carry for the rest of my life, and for that I will be forever grateful.

A huge thank you to @sophwatts @misslealeahugs @adamscottcreative @shack85 @mrssamgoodge and so many more incredible people who have invested their time, energy, patience and belief in me. Thank you for pushing me, supporting me, challenging me and helping shape me into not only the performer I am today, but the person I am becoming.

And of course, to my A1 family. Saying goodbye to all of you is by far the hardest part. The amount of talent, dedication, passion and kindness in this year group is genuinely unbelievable. I have laughed with you, cried with you, performed with you, and made memories that I know I’ll be talking about for years to come. I wouldn’t change a single second of it

@arts1mk , thank you for everything.
