I don’t even know where to start. It’s hard to put into words what this game has meant to me. Since I was 8, basketball has been part of my life. So many early mornings, late nights, bus rides, laughs, and moments I’ll hold onto forever. I grew up on that court, and somewhere along the way it helped shape the person I am today.

This season didn’t unfold the way I imagined. There were challenges that tested me and moments that stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. But through it all, God was so faithful. He kept reminding me that my identity is bigger than the game. He used the highs and the lows to grow my faith, strengthen my character, and teach me to trust Him even when I couldn’t see the full picture.

I’m so thankful for the teammates who became sisters and for my coaches. I’m also thankful for the countless hours my AAU coach poured into me, all of the extra practices, the encouragement, the belief in me when I didn’t always believe in myself. That investment means more than words can say.

It’s hard knowing i’ll never play another game for this program. That chapter of my life is closing, and it’s bittersweet in the deepest way. But I’m walking away grateful for the memories, the lessons, the growth, and the way God has blessed me through every season.

Basketball gave me so much more than wins and losses. It gave me resilience, faith, sisters, and a lifetime of memories. I don’t know what my future holds, but I trust the same God who walked with me through every season, will guide me into the next one. This chapter of my life as a soccer player has officially come to an end. I blinked, and suddenly I’m a senior saying goodbye to a game that has meant so much to me since I was four. It didn’t end the way I expected it to but I’m so thankful for everything soccer has been to me — a safe place, something that brings me joy, and one of the the places where I’ve felt closest to God. Some of my best talks with Him have happened out there on the field.

I’m beyond grateful for the teammates who’ve become my sisters. From locker room laughs to jamming out at practice, I’ve made memories that I’ll hold onto forever. You’ve all been such a light in my life, and I truly don’t know what I’d do without you.

I am thankful for all of my coaches who believed in me, pushed me, and shaped me to who I am, not just as a player, but as a person. Time flew by faster than I ever could have expected, but I’ll forever thank God for all of the blessings soccer has brought me.
