My hero, my biggest fan, my best friend, my dad. An absolute warrior. The best to ever do it. Words cannot describe how much I’ll miss your laugh, your love, and the strength you somehow made look easy. You taught me to love loudly, fight harder, and to find the light, even when everything felt dark. You were an absolute goof who brought laughter and light into every room, never taking life too seriously. You always found a reason to laugh and you made sure we did too. An entire year without you and missing you more each day. It seems impossible to put into words what feels like it was just yesterday, but also a lifetime ago.

Every day I continue to live a little more like you did— with a smile toward others, quiet courage in the hardest moments, finding joy in the little things, being quick to forgive, and loving people with the full depth that you did. That is who you were. And it’s who I try to be every single day, even when it feels impossible.

Learning how to live in a world without you hasn’t gotten any easier, but your subtle reminders keep me going. There are so many moments I want to share with you and so many times I just need my dad. But I know that you are watching over me which is something I carry with me in everything I do.

I will spend my life trying to carry on your legacy and follow in your footsteps, even though they feel impossibly big to fill. I hope I’m making you proud. I love you forever and will see you again 🤍😇 by @_sarahdenk
