“Stepping into a softer side of me… 🌿✨
Not just hair, not just fashion… but the things that ground me too.

Gardening is one of my quiet hobbies, something my grandmother passed down to me 🤍
She used to say, ‘drop a penny in your plants… that copper makes them grow stronger’ 🌱

So now I’m planting, growing, and pouring love into everything I touch…
and I’m bringing y’all along with me 💫

Welcome to a new layer of SaunLee.”

Yesterday was such a full-circle moment for me! I had the honor of being invited to Hollywood Institute as a guest speaker to share my journey, knowledge, skills, and experiences from over 23 years in the braiding industry.

From building Blessed by Boosie to evolving into Saun’Lee, this journey has taught me so much more than just how to braid hair. It taught me about business, branding, discipline, creativity, customer service, and most importantly, believing in the gift God gave me.

I’ve learned the ins and outs of this industry through real experience, and being able to walk into a classroom and share that knowledge with future beauty professionals means EVERYTHING to me.

I went from being behind the chair to having a voice in the classroom. And that right there is GROWTH! ❤️

Thank you, @teesofab & Hollywood Institute, for recognizing my years of dedication and inviting me to pour into the next generation of talent.

23+ years later, my hands still have the skill, but now my story has a purpose too. ✨
