I signed up for the half to prove something to myself.
By mile 10, I was ready to quit. 42nd street felt never ending . Every step felt heavy, and I wasn’t sure my feet would carry me any further. But running reminds me it’s always me vs. me.
Whatever I tell my mind, my body will follow. I kept moving and walked when I had to . Pushed forward by any means necessary until I crossed that finish line. Already looking forward to the next race. It’s only up from here 🙏🏾 by @_shegotherown__

This Congratulations just hits different .I’m running the United Half and New York City Marathon . Who would have knew 6 years later I would be running not one but two races . 2026 both races in your honor . We were supposed to run the half together in 2020 before the race got canceled . I ran my own version with my coworkers . Shoutout to the them, most definitely my first time running over 6 miles . As you would say we move . Fundraising for the marathon the link is in my bio .💫 by @_shegotherown__
