My name is Catia and I didn’t lose myself all at once.
It happened slowly, the way light fades in winter. One small compromise, then another. one more version of me shaped around what a city, a culture, a room full of people seemed to need.

I grew up in Lisbon, where the light is warm and the ocean is always close. I left at 18, landed in London with a suitcase and something unnameable still tucked inside me. For years, I did what we all do. I adapted, I achieved, I became very good at being someone else.

What brought me back wasn’t a breakthrough. It was a whisper. sound. ceremony. sacred plant medicine. the kind of stillness that doesn’t ask you to perform.

Through the shamanic path, inner work, and sound healing, I found the thread back to myself. slowly, then completely.

alma was born from that return. a space for women who are tired of being half-present in their own lives, who sense there’s something deeper available, and just need someone to hold the door open.

I built it because it’s the space I was searching for so other women don’t have to find their way back alone.

If any of this resonates i’m so glad you’re here.

with love,
Catia 🤍

Sometimes the Earth has a way of calling us back to our roots.
The elections in Brazil fell on my grandfather’s birthday, on the land where my family’s story began and where part of me has always felt rooted.

Something about that timing felt like a thread between my ancestors, my journey to the Amazon and the forest that continues to call me.

And it made me reflect on what it really means to honour something.

Because there is a difference between honouring Indigenous traditions and simply consuming them.

We cannot sit with the medicine, adopt the rituals, speak of ancestral wisdom and call the Amazon sacred, while remaining disconnected from the people, lands and realities those practices come from.

Honouring asks for reciprocity.

And sometimes reciprocity is political.

Not because everyone had a vote. We didn’t. But we could pay attention. Learn. Amplify. Support. Care.

Being apolitical is a privilege when the people whose wisdom we receive cannot simply opt out of the consequences of politics.
True spirituality asks more of us than love and light.

It asks us not only to receive, but to stand beside. To protect. To give back.

Otherwise, what we call spirituality can become another form of appropriation, repeating the same colonial pattern of taking what we want while looking away from the people it belongs to.

I called it strength. It was fear.

Letting go isn’t giving up. It isn’t a switch you flip, and it doesn’t mean you stop caring. For me it’s a practice, and it’s small: asking for help before I’m at my limit, leaving something unplanned, staying in the not-knowing for one more breath.

I used to think safety lived in the grip. I’m learning it lives in being held: by people, by my own body, by something bigger than my plan.

I’m not done. I still reach for control, but now I notice it, and sometimes I soften.

Which is harder for you: asking for help, or not knowing how it ends?

Pricing my work has been one of the harder parts of doing this.
Because it feels so personal. It comes from the heart, so putting a number on it can feel strange, like I’m charging for care.

But care takes skill. And skill takes time, training and a lot of showing up, mostly where nobody sees it.

So if you’ve ever wondered why sound baths cost what they do, swipe through. I’d love for you to see what’s inside the price.

Have you ever questioned the value of something because it felt “too gentle” to be a job? Tell me below.

One of the biggest lessons on my healing journey has been this:
Peace is something we create.

Through the boundaries we set. The conversations we walk away from. The moments we choose ourselves.

For so long, I thought protecting my peace meant avoiding difficult situations.

Now I see it as coming back to myself, again and again.

This is the intention behind every sound healing and shamanic session I offer.

A gentle space to slow down, breathe deeply, release what feels heavy, and remember who you are beneath all the noise.

If this message found you at the right time, perhaps it’s an invitation to come back to yourself. My private sound healing and shamanic healing sessions offer a gentle space to begin ✨

As the leaves let go, nature reminds us there is wisdom in releasing what we’ve outgrown 🍂

What are you making space for this season?

🍂 October Sound Healing Sessions 🍂

As the days grow shorter and nature begins to slow down, October invites us to turn inward, release what no longer serves us, and reconnect with ourselves.

Join me this month for a deeply restorative Sound Healing Journey, where soothing vibrations from crystal singing bowls, chimes, drums and gong create a space for relaxation, reflection and renewal.

I will also be holding space, together with @theheartspace.earth , to honour and celebrate Samhain. 🕯️

I’m so happy to share that from July I’ll be offering weekly Sound Healing at the @theheartspace.earth

This place has become such a sanctuary for me.The kind of place where you walk in and already feel yourself exhale. Warm, held, away from the noise of everything outside. I’ve fallen in love with it and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Each week I will be holding space for one hour of deep rest and connection through sound. A space to slow down, soften, let your body breathe and come back to yourself.

If you’ve been curious, craving stillness or a moment that’s just for you, this is your sign to come.

2nd and 9th of July (Thursday) 7:30PM - 8.30PM

I would love to see you there ✨
