What a season. What a story.
Sherize didn’t just turn pro — she earned it the hard way.

After multiple close calls where she should have taken the title, she never crumbled. Never complained. Never quit.
She just showed up — again and again — with the mindset of a champion long before the card was in her hand.

Because bodybuilding isn’t about winning.
It’s about conquering yourself.
It’s about silencing the voice that says “you’re not good enough” — and proving it wrong.

Sherize is the embodiment of that.
Professional in her actions, heart, and grit — long before the judges made it official. by @_sherize_

So damn proud of this elite athlete and the condition she brought to the stage. @_sherize_ is nothing less than the perfect example of a “pro mentality”. She gets the work done with no complaints, and defines what bodybuilding should mean; the manifestation of physical changes through the underlying mental evolution.

On to the next one to prove that she is up there with the very best in the country 🇿🇦

On the 1st of May 2025, my mind shifted… There was no other option, I told myself “It’s now or never.”

I wrote it down on my calendar, I spoke it, I envisioned it, I practiced holding it, I believed it, I trusted for it and prayed for it. I worked even harder than I thought I could, until I stepped on stage on the 17th of May 2025… and it happened, today a year ago I became an IFBB Elite Pro in Bodyfitness.

Today I sit here remembering how far I’ve come, how surreal that very moment was and how grateful I am for each and every one who supported and followed my journey.

Next up… Pro Debut… excited for the journey ahead.

Third wheeling to my cousin’s wedding.

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴… 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴.

Not every lack of progress means that you need to push harder.
Sometimes your body is asking for recovery, not restriction.

The difference comes down to awareness, but most importantly having a coach who actually pays attention.

Data matters. But interpretation matters even more.

@coach_matt_weitz_ thank you for being the best damn coach ever!

Sometimes my check-in form looks like an essay, because I discuss everything that I believe could have an impact on my visuals, performance, adherence and mental state… and more often than not my coach would pick something up from feedback and data combined, that I would “miss” (ignorance and denial is more appropriate to be honest).

I’m pretty hard on myself, so I’ll keep pushing until I literally can’t anymore… but when Coach Matt says stop, I listen because I’ve learnt the hard way. by @_sherize_

My progress isn’t linear - it’s led. Every setback is a setup and every delay carries purpose. I don’t move by sight, I move by faith. Even when the path bends, I don’t break.
YHWH orders my steps, so every detour becomes destiny.

Slow days won’t scare me. Delays won’t stop me because I’m backed by The One who turns battles into breakthroughs.

Our journeys are Divinely designed. When God is your guide, even the valleys become training grounds.

Let’s talk about winning - it looks different for all of us and it doesn’t always present as a tangible reward or title… Sometimes no one sees it.

Winning isn’t about trophies — it’s about the battles no one sees. The nights you kept believing, the days you kept showing up. That’s the kind of win that builds unshakable strength.

Some wins don’t sparkle. They come quietly — in the peace after the storm, in the moment you no longer need validation, in the soft voice that says, “I’m okay now.” That’s the real victory.

Not every victory is loud. Some are whispered between you and Yahweh — when you choose grace over revenge, stillness over chaos, and faith when everything says “give up.” That’s the kind of win heaven sees.

This is hands down my best off-season look to date & it makes me look forward to the next time I get to step on stage.

@coach_matt_weitz_ aka The Alchemist, I could never thank you enough for everything you’ve helped me achieve. You are truly an amazing coach & an expert in your field.
