SHOW V • HEALED?

Some worlds are built with buildings. Others are built with brokenness.

Healed? began with the powerful words of Sherlene Campos, but I had the privilege of helping shape the world that surrounds them—creating the emotional landscape of a woman living unhoused, wandering through life as a vagabond trapped in profound stagnation.

After losing her mother to congenital heart disease, she convinces herself that it wasn’t illness that took her… it was a broken heart. That belief becomes the prison she lives in. Grief hardens into routine. Survival replaces living. Every step forward is met by the weight of what refuses to let her move.

This piece asks a difficult question: Can you truly heal when you’ve built your identity around your pain?
