I remember thinking this group photo was going to take forever and how immensely awkward we were with each other. We were here for a competition, so I wondered if any lasting friendships would be made.

These thoughts quickly turned into an internal conflict of "UGH I want to be friends but I'm so shy and exhausted and I also have a shit ton of schoolwork to do". So I spent a lot of time either alone or with my team because it was easy to say "work comes first".

We all got a lot closer by the competition. Still a bit awkward because of language barriers, but cheering for each other over the idols really said something. I cried the morning people left, not realizing that the past two weeks might have been the first and last time I might see some of these people.

A year later, I still regret not talking to more people, not taking more pictures, and letting certain things get the better of me. However, there's a lot of things I don't regret. You all had a huge impact on my life and I sincerely hope we can meet again some time in the future, so I can have a second chance at appreciating you all properly in person.

Thank you so much and I miss you all dearly 💕
