talking about my faith hasn’t been something i’m always good at, but i want to at least try. for the last 6 years of my life i’ve been involved in my youth group. at first, i wasn’t sure i really had a place there due to me feeling my faith wasn’t strong enough or that i didn’t live the “normal christian lifestyle” like others around me did. i wasn’t always at church, i wasn’t always posting about God, and i didn’t feel like i had a calling. about a year or two in, i attended my fist accym event where i met some of the most amazing people who made me understand that being a christian doesn’t mean always believing and always telling people about God, it means trying even when it feels impossible. it means love thy neighbor just as you would want to be loved. it means be the change you want to see in the world. while i’m still learning about my faith and working through it, i know for a fact he’s there because he brought me my people. he brought me a place where i feel safe to share my feelings. he brought me a second home. accym and phumc will always have a place in my heart and i couldn’t be more grateful that i have them 💘 p.s. i don’t think i’ll ever make it through the blessing with out sobbing again by @_skyfaye

for the last 15 years of my life, i have spent majority of my time in a dance studio. whether that be for practice, classes, or simply just because i had nothing else to do. somehow, it still doesn’t feel like enough time. dance has been more than just something i did, it’s been who i am. these people are my everything. they’ve saved me in more ways than i can imagine or even began to explain, whether or not they know it. i couldn’t imagine a life without them. no one warns you what it’s like to leave behind something that raised you and last night i did just that. a part of me stayed on that stage and i think it always will. i you love irbys with my entire being #skyrizzout 🥹✌️🩵 by @_skyfaye
