10 Days Post Op Lower Blepharoplasty!

When making decisions about things you want to do that may have stigma attached or be taboo, considering the opinions of your tribe is important. But ultimately, you have to do what you feel is best for you.

I’m sharing my Lower Blepharoplasty experience for a number of reasons. Mainly, I want people to see how common small tweaks like this are, I could have not said anything and no one would have noticed a thing other than maybe I looked more refreshed.

Aesthetic treatments are more common than you think, ppl just don’t share. There is no need to walk around with bags that you hate out of fear of judgement when you probably know someone that’s done it & just didn’t tell you.

If you do good research and find an ETHICAL and QUALIFIED surgeon, they won’t do work on you that you don’t need.

I did a thing! I got my eye bags removed!
Last week I went to Raleigh to see the phenomenal Ocular Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Mettu at Raleigh Eye and Face for a Lower Blepharoplasty. A Lower Blepharoplasty is a surgery to remove under eye bags, which IMO gives a more bright and fresh appearance.

I’ve had under eye bags for as long as I can remember, but as I lost weight they became more noticeable because my face got smaller. I am happy with how I look but those bags just bothered me and I couldn’t hide them because they were right on the center of my face.

After TONS of research and even canceling the procedure with a different surgeon, I made the decision to book with Dr. Mettu.

I am still very early in my heeling journey but it has been going sooo smoothly, I haven’t had any pain, discomfort, or dry eyes. I am so happy that I did this and can’t wait to continue to see progress!
