I know ball. I know grit. I know persistence. I know discipline. I know what it feels like to have to start again, rebuild and redefine who I am. Powerlifting is a small part of who I am, but what it has taught me leaks through to the other avenues of my life. I chose this sport to prove to myself that I am more than what happened to me, to prove to the doctors that I can be more than a diagnosis and to reframe and relearn who I am. #powerlifting #mywhy #strengthtraining #recovery #powerliftingmotivation #strongwomen by @_slbd__

Things YOU should be chasing instead of just being "skinny"... 1. Being strong enough to carry your own life. Groceries. Luggage. Kids. Furniture. Your body should make life easier, not harder. 2. Building a body that supports you for decades. Muscle isn't just for aesthetics—it's an investment in your future health, mobility, and independence. 3. Having energy that lasts all day. Train to feel energised, productive, and resilient—not constantly exhausted from chasing smaller numbers. 4. Celebrating what your body can do. Your first push-up. Your first pull-up. Your first 100kg deadlift. Those wins stay with you far longer than any diet. 5. Building discipline, not punishment. Exercise shouldn't be something you have to do because you ate dessert. It should be something you choose because you respect yourself. 6. Creating a life where you're proud of yourself. The strongest women I know aren't obsessed with being the smallest person in the room—they're focused on becoming the strongest version of themselves. 7. Feeling confident walking into any gym. Confidence doesn't come from the number on the scale. It comes from knowing what you're capable of. ✨ Strong is not the opposite of feminine. It's one of the most empowering things you can become. #WomensStrengthTraining #StrengthCoach #GirlsWhoLift #AtomicPerformance #weightloss by @_slbd__
