Shakti embodies tangible qualities (sagun), while Shiva represents abstract qualities (nirgun), because Shiva’s gunas were stripped off to let Shakti emerge. The unified energy divided into two: Shiva, the passive aspect, and Shakti, the active aspect. In depictions like Mahakali, Shiva lies still while Shakti is dynamic and dominant, symbolized by her stepping on his chest. This isn’t about shame but illustrates the wild, untamed nature of Prakriti. As Shiva and Shakti are two facets of the same universal energy, it’s Shakti, the manifested aspect, that steps on Shiva, the unmanifested aspect.

The Shivlinga symbolizes immobility, while Shakti symbolizes mobility. Shiva is beyond perception and senses; what we perceive is Shakti, the tangible manifestation. Only by transcending the senses can we truly understand Shiva. Shakti is the dynamic aspect of Shiva, while Shiva is the static aspect of Shakti, representing the same energy displayed differently. Together, they form a complete unit, reminding us that the path to enlightenment lies through nature.

Consider a flowing river. Its water represents Shakti, constantly moving and shaping the landscape, while the riverbed signifies Shiva, providing stability and direction. Without the riverbed, the water would flow aimlessly, and without the water, the riverbed would remain dry and barren.

Think of a flame dancing in the wind. The flame embodies Shakti’s dynamic energy, flickering and swaying with the breeze, while the candle or lamp represents Shiva’s stable presence, providing the foundation for the flame to exist.

Ultimately, what I'm trying to convey is the interplay between stability and dynamism, form and formlessness, which are embodied in the eternal dance of Shiva and Shakti, reminding us of the inseparable connection between the manifested and the unmanifested aspects of existence.🧘‍♂️✨ - Love, Servant of Shiva, thebluehuman 💙
