The Wellness Within Event was simply whimsical. It was more than a self-care moment but a powerful space that allowed for Black and Brown woman to gather and intentionally pause, breathe and pour back into ourselves.

In honor of National Wellness Month it was deeply meaningful to create this space that included yoga lead by @daysofrose, sound bath by @the.ambitious.rebel, complementary wellness scans and natural restorative shots for those to partake in modalities that were not always created with us in mind.

Special thanks to Nurses In Color, @p4.hub and Vitality Movement for sponsoring this restorative experience!

Big things happen when community comes together.

Boys’ Latin Nursing Pathway Program and Shoot Basketballs NOT People joined forces for the @phillyserviceaward “Enough” gun violence prevention event — and brought home 3rd place in the Safer, Cleaner, Greener category!

This partnership is proof that when healthcare education and youth advocacy align, communities win.

Congratulations to the young men of Boys Latin and special shoutout to @_sophia_simone on this well-earned recognition! by @_sophia_simone
