Interview filmed a week before the outbreak of the war in Iran.

Those in power are not the ones who pay the price of war; it is the civilians, especially those who are already oppressed, who face untold costs.

We stand beside the women who are systematically repressed and already deprived of support from their country, now in a state of extreme vulnerability.

Why should New Zealanders protest for Iran? Because not everyone has a voice. Because oppression spreads like waves across the ocean. by @_sophiatoop

Artist @izzyjoyart is currently working on a mural on Hōniana Te Puni Street that reflects the history of Wellington's waterways and honours the life of Hōniana Te Puni 🤍💧

Our fundraising pledge is in our bio! Join us for this important piece of Wellington.

We have already surpassed 75% of our fundraising goal! If you'd like to support our cause, you will have a chance to win a painting by Aotearoa artist Rei Hammon.

Additionally, we've arranged a school trip with Te Aro School so the students can visit the mural and learn about its history from Izzy 🎨

Videos have been added, courtesy of Auckland Zoo and the Wellington Museum. ✨ taken in Aro Valley by @_sophiatoop

HOPE for our world
If I was to say anything to the world. I would bring forward a message of hope, represented by the child. For the children in our world and the child inside. We all deserve peace and happiness.
May we all bring forth as much peace as there is division, every action matters, every person matters.

So grateful for my time at Reclaim. I was lucky to take photos during our new year, for the year to come. What I love about photography is it’s a lens into another world, revealing messages and synchronicities that help me to understand the deeper messages hidden around us all.

Art makes the impossible, possible 🌈

Kat had less than two afternoons to complete this mural!

On the top of a house in Aro Valley, climbing up on what felt like toothpicks.

Poppy joined in to complete the painting.

Going into the night, we found someone with a high intensity flashlight who could help us finish off the work.

Thank you Kat and Poppy!

In memory of Richard Little.

Going into Diane and Penelope home was such a wonder.

Full of treasures, it is a home that Richard himself meticulously built before he passed away.

Diane and Penelope wanted something to honour his life. The monarch butterfly spontaneously coming to them and the daffodils unfolding for this mural.

In one of the most colourful and curious areas in Wellington, we can’t wait to see the mural project continue.

Bringing reflection of the people and bringing more colours to our street.

Inviting us back into each other’s homes and reuniting community together. taken in Aro Valley by @_sophiatoop

Over the past week you have met Nancy Barclay the creative force behind The Art and Living Space. A beautiful place to learn and grow.

”Turning a dream into reality has taught me so much — the power of vision, strong foundations, and healthy boundaries.

It’s a dance between structure and letting go, learning to embrace change as it comes.

Creating this space — where art, learning, health and personal growth meet — brings a sense of fulfilment that goes beyond the end result.”

Meet Nancy Barclay, creative force behind The Art and Living Space. A beautiful place to learn and grow.

“Art is my reset, painting, playing with colour and texture — it’s meditation, reflection and grounding all in one. This space also lets me explore, learn, and connect with amazing practitioners — helping others find their happy place. Self-care isn’t selfish; it’s the foundation for everything else.”
