trigger warning

Hey 👋 I thought that i’d create a reintroduction because naturally over the past year my account has started to evolve from a renovation account to something much more.

I rarely mention the c word on here because it doesn’t define me as a person, but in ways it does. Without having had that, i’d never be the person that I am today. I will continue to not mention it often and I do hope that you can respect that. It’s a part of my own healing ❤️‍🩹

However, I’d completely lost myself prior and now, the magic 🪄 and sparkle ✨ is back.

I’ll be sharing a lot more of me, my life & business (eek hello holiday lets!), living in cornwall, and the rediscovery of my style.

I do hope that you’ll stick around for the most exciting part of my journey xo

I think that i’ve well and truly lost track of days after a two week half term.

Today was back to work and routine which we all love in this house so comfort at its finest.

We were back on the tv today for @truenorthtv @channel4 Renovation Nation which was a lovely surprise to see!

Whether your tree is already up, you’re planning to decorate in December, or you haven’t even thought about Christmas yet, you’re not behind.

Enjoy it in your own time.

The negative mental health impacts it had on me was crazy. I’d be dreaming about what Christmas content I could create day after day and would cause myself burnout year after year.

Nobody speaks about this.

It’s perfectly okay to not rush the seasons and just embrace the moments we have. Right here. Right now.

This year I’m learning that I don’t need to rush through one season just to keep up with the next.

It’s perfectly okay to slow down, enjoy what’s in front of us and embrace the moments we’re actually living. Whether that’s putting the tree up in November or December 24th. Christmas should be done your own way xx

p.s - these were last years decs 🎄

Cornwall can be country too 🤎

In Cornwall we spend so much time showing off our beautiful coastline that I think we sometimes forget just how lovely the countryside is too.

Especially at this time of year

How i’m wearing my blazers this autumn. I’m a huge fan of brown tights to pull the tweed of the blazer and the black of the tailored shorts together.

Sometimes, all you need is a decent pair of jeans and a good coat.

I’m actually on the hunt for a pure or high wool count coat so that it lasts me for years to come. I’d love your recommendations for one 🤎

Day 8 (i think) and it’s shake your tits it’s Friday

I’ve not worn black in such a long time and it’s gradually becoming a bit of an autumn staple again. It may be because it’s more forgiving on all of the autumn cosy foods that I’ve been over consuming!

Happy Friday … oh … and don’t forget to check those 🪩 🪩 as it is also breast cancer awareness month and I know far too well the effects of “thankfully” catching it early.

Today I needed comfort and cosy and I think that I have managed to tick those boxes.

* Apologies by for the well worn @blundstone_uk but they’re ridiculously comfortable for running about doing errands in! I also think it’s quite nice to do a reality that not everything is shiny and perfect!

Okay, no one judge the state of my car, it’s the Cornish back roads, I promise! (not my type B personality)

As you can see, there’s been huge progress at the holiday let compared to last week and I’m so excited to be moving into finalising the bathroom next week and properly unpacking the furnishings.

There’s lots of lovely features in the cottage, including me adding in a wine bar - because it wouldn’t be my design without one 🍷

Today’s outfit of the day in photos.

Swipe to see the best part 🤎

This is day six of making an effort with my autumn wardrobe and wearing some key staples. The leggings cinch everything in place and make you feel amazing when wearing them.

Today bear and I headed for an autumnal walk followed by painting in the holiday let 🍂
