It’s always the comments for me. The streets don’t lie. Shout out to @variety BIG THANK YOU! BIG LIBRA! 🥂 #costumes #starzpower #costumedesign #raisingkanan by @_spelledwitha_t

Thank you @ebonymagazine and @vqvaughns for the feature! The biggest SHOUT OUT to every Power Universe fan who lives for the 90’s fashion we bring every season. Mom… I did it! 😂🥂 BIG CHEERS! BIG LIBRA! link in bio. #costumedesign #power #raisingkananstarz by @_spelledwitha_t

Thank you to my alma mater, Spelman College, for highlighting me in this month’s Spelman Lanes newsletter. I am beyond proud to represent an institution that has shaped so much of who I am.

Since Raising Kanan began, I’ve received so many messages from fans (some who have become friends) of the show about the costumes and my work. I can’t express enough how much those messages have meant to me.

I started Raising Kanan wanting, more than anything, to tell this small part of the Black American experience with integrity, beauty and grace. Grounded in the belief that we are so much more than a stereotype. That our stories deserve nuance. That our style, our culture and the way we present ourselves are all part of the storytelling.

Five seasons later, I can look back and say with pride: I think I accomplished what I set out to do.

Thank you to everyone who watched, noticed, appreciated and reached out. Special Shout out to @flfstyle2 and @pennsascha for trusting and believing in ya girl. BIG LIBRA!

And thank you, Spelman. 💙 #hbcu #spelmancollege #raisingkanan #starz #costumes by @_spelledwitha_t
