Billy Joel: And So It Goes (Part 1) is out on HBO Max tonight. These projects take years and it’s always surreal when they are finally out in the world. Had no idea about Billy’s story before starting this one and it didn’t disappoint. One of the kings of NY🗽 by @_steven_ross

Started working on this Billy Joel documentary back in 2023 and very ready for it to come out this summer. One of the best I’ve gotten to work on. Huge congrats and thank you to @pentimentoprods @sacpltd @greenlitpilott and everybody else on this one. Billy a legend and a true boy 🎹 taken in Hicksville, New York by @_steven_ross

Was very lucky to be one of the editors on this wild series directed by @chris_smith and now it finally has a release date.

Big thanks to @asofsky for bringing me in and congrats to @zunset @matt_maxson @Eric_loy @samkleinsam @cassadytromba and lots of others. They all spent years wrangling this and deserve nice things. 🥇 by @_steven_ross

This is way overdue but I am finally able to share a trailer and the full version of the short doc I directed and edited called “Idolized.” Endless thanks to all of the members of @Idolizedne and especially @nicochuu and @rookias. They were incredibly kind and patient and open with us all during the shoot. This was filmed right before the pandemic during @animenyc which is one of the largest anime conventions in the country. It was one of my favorite weekends I’ve had in NYC even though I felt like a dad the whole time in my normie clothes.

Praises to the small crew of @fletcher_wolfe @whospierce and @ash.knowlton who dealt with all the chaos. @_floodmix_ with the sound mix and @ray.leve with the color. And a special thanks to the amazing @MaxwellSterling who took a temp soundtrack I was very attached to and replaced it with a score that I thought worked even better. I wish I could make this doc again every year. Link to the full film (under 10 min) in the bio and stuff. taken in Javits Center by @_steven_ross

Almost 2 years ago I started editing this series. Pretty surreal for it to finally have a release date.

A huge thanks to everyone who dealt/helped during this whole process and especially to director @a_rossi for bringing me into this world that he had been researching and developing for more than 10 years.

The second and third pictures were taken on some of our last days of editing when I was really tired because making things is hard but also very happy because projects like this don’t come around very often. The series will be released March 9th on Netflix. 🙏🙏🙏 by @_steven_ross

A short documentary I directed is premiering July 9th and July 12th at @lesfilmfestival. It follows @idolizedne at @animenyc as they talk about the anime and cosplay communities. This one was concentrated nostalgia for me and one of my favorite things I’ve worked on. It will be in-person screenings so if you’re in NYC come through.

Big thanks to the small crew
