The end of countless memories 💔

9 years ago mum and dad begged me to get up and have a go on the 2.0 and eventually I gave in and from then on the wakepark became my second home. Ive grown up from a little kid to where I am now with this place and to think that it is the end of that chapter is heartbreaking.

The wakepark has allowed me to make countless connections with people and become a better person. The wakepark has been my second home these past 9 years and I don’t regret a single minute of it. To think that it all started with me taking a whole month to get around the first corner to finding my passion and claiming world titles at this park is something I will forever cherish.

The past 9 years of spinning countless laps, catching 100’s of edges, a million laughs, countless new tricks and thousands of memories is forever going to have a place in my heart. gcwp has left me with friends I will forever stand by and a big family. Without gcwp I wouldn’t be who I am today and I will miss it so much. I’m so greatful for everything this park has brought me, im devastated to see my home go.

I wish I could join everyone for one last ride at my favourite place but I’ll be on the dock watching everyone in my crutches (most likely shedding a few tears).

To all my friends, family and the staff let’s make Saturday a day to remember and a forever memory to cherish.

Thank you to Daniel and Kim for everything you have done for this place these past years. You created such a special place for not only myself to enjoy, our small community to.
