Mazda 787B

Built in 1990 to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the quad-rotor powered Group C2 car will win the race the following year, in 1991. Built entirely By Mazdaspeed, the car produced 700 Wheel-horsepower, and it was capable to reach 350km/h (218 mph). Thanks to its iconic sound and livery, the 787B conquered the heart of many petrolheads and jdm fans (since it was the first japanese car ever to win at Le Mans). taken in Le Mans - France by @_strike_art

Nissan R390 GT1 and Toyota GT-One TS020

The 1998 Le Mans 24h is remembered as one of the best edition in the history of the most famous endurance race in the world. At the time, GT1 class was the apex of GT-Endurance Racing. Manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, McLaren, BMW all competed between each other, developing the most extreme race cars the world has ever seen.
The machines above represent Japan’s attempt to claim Le Mans’s throne.

Unfortunately, despite their best efforts, both Nissan and Toyota failed to reach the goal (Porsche won with the 911-GT1). However, this didn’t stop both cars to later become iconic (thanks also to their apperanance in racing videogames such as Gran Turismo and Forza).

FERRARI F50

Built to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ferrari, only 349 units were built.
The context behind the project was to create a Ferrari that could embody the idea of a Road-going F1 car. This was made possibile using only composite materials (such as carbon fiber) for the construction of the car aswell as the adoption of a 4.7 litres V12 engine derived from Nigel Mansell’s Ferrari 640 F1 car from the 1989 season. The engine is also the same used in the IMSA Ferrari 333SP.
Originally listed at 475,000 dollars, nowadays the F50 is worth around 5.7 milion dollars. by @_strike_art
