โœจ Slanted DIY rock that's no stranger to a pop hook โœจ Sulka - the Glasgow alt rock four piece led by prodigious singer songwriter Lukas Clasen - bring the noise East for the first of our Howlin' Fringe nights at Leith Cricket Club. Their heartfelt melodies and off-kilter pop instincts have drawing comparisons to artists such as Alex G, Elliott Smith and Guided by Voices. Yet Sulka command a sound that is unmistakably their own. The band are co-headlining alongside the similarly monikered swamp rock rascals Suckle, who bring their notoriously captivating live show up from Leeds for a rare Scottish date. The line-up is completed by The Chop - the much heralded lo-fi art pop outfit from duo Gemma Fleet and Andrew Doig, who feature both together and individually in some of Glasgow's most exciting bands (including, but not limited to, Dancer, Order of the Toad, Nightshift, and Robert Sotelo). Alt rock served three ways. A perfect introductory platter for our three night Howlin' Fringe fun. ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ howlinfling.com HOWLIN' FRINGE 2026 Wednesday 12th August A collaboration with @playnicepresents @suckleband + @_sulka + @the_chop_music Leith FAB Cricket Club Leith Links, Edinburgh Live music from 7pm - 10.30pm, then DJs til close. #edinburgh #edfringe #edfringe2026 by @_sulka
โœจ LOST MAP PODCAST // AUGUST 2026 โœจ August can only mean one thing - it's nearly time for Howlin' Fringe! In this month's podcast, @pictishtrail and @parti_mellow look ahead to our series of shows at Leith Cricket Club - talking through the new additions to the line-up and generally just getting pretty excited about how good these shows are going to be. They also give details about an exciting new Lost Map survey, talking through how it will help shape the future of the label, and generally just getting pretty excited about how fun it is to fill out. People love surveys, right? โœ… There's also new music from the Post Map mail bag, including @bothhands_music , the triumphant return of @rickredbeard_music and a new cosmic remix of @ishaaqaarkistra. There's also a featured interview with Lukas Clasen of @_sulka, talking through the making of the gorgeous new album ๐˜‰๐˜ถ๐˜ต๐˜ฆ. Find it wherever you find your podcasts! ๐ŸŽง linktr.ee/lostmap by @_sulka
