@karolg + Provenza 🩵 will always hit different for me. It became one of my favorite songs during a season of learning how to come back to myself after a breakup. Reconnecting with the parts of me I had neglected, finding joy again + remembering who TF I am. 💅🏽😂

So getting to sing it live AGAIN, with my Prima, stepping into 45… yeah, this one meant a little more. 🥹💙 the heart has grieved + also healed 🩵✨

Sometimes healing looks deep and emotional.

Sometimes it looks like singing every word to Karol G at the top of your lungs in Vegas. 😂✨🩵

“Boys are so much fun to raise,” my friend said… and my face lit up.
+ yes, they truly have been. 🤍

The hard conversations have brought us to tears at times, but the joy in between has always outweighed the pain. At the end, she said something that stopped me in my tracks:
“You had to have had the intention to create this.”

+ she was right.

My intention was never about material things or grand experiences, even though I would have loved to give them that. What I wanted most was to give them what I didn’t have growing up … guidance, support, and a safe place to land.

My parents did the best they could, + I’m grateful for what I had under their roof. But once I was out in the world, I had to figure out a lot on my own. I didn’t have space to process emotions or be vulnerable.

Creating that space for my boys, especially after the ways they’ve been let down by grown-ups, it has been challenging, stretching, and holy work. And it’s been a blessing to rise to it.

They continue to show responsibility, ownership, and growth, even while facing their own battles. And I stand firm in this truth: the battle will be won. The victory is already theirs.

This journey has been shaped by intention, love + faith 🙏🏼 + I wouldn’t trade it for anything. 🙏🏼🤍

Same weight. New peace. Bigger wins. ✨ The journey since 2022!

Before: surviving on stress, running on empty, stuck in fight or flight.
After: regulated, grounded, breathing deeper, moving with intention.

The scale didn’t move — but everything inside me did.
Healing your nervous system is progress. Restoring your peace is transformation.
And I’m proud of me for staying motivated, even when the outside didn’t “show” it right away.

Real growth isn’t always visible — but it’s always felt.

I often tell myself: No one’s coming to save you. Pick yourself up + get to it!

But I’m learning that taking responsibility for my life doesn’t mean I have to carry everything alone.

I have a support system. I have people who love me + show up for me. What’s been missing in this season is connection to what I’m actually experiencing.

When I stop replaying the past, worrying about a future that hasn’t happened, lay it down + come back to the NOW faith God is asking of me, He sends what I need. Lately, that’s looked like connection. 🩵

Thank you, Lola, for sharing pieces of yourself + your life with me these past few weeks. For meeting me in a heavy season, pulling me outside of my norm + reminding me who I get to be again.

Sometimes you don’t need someone to save you. You just need someone who gets it.

Took a week off from the gym for a bunch of reasons that happened to align: late luteal exhaustion was at its peak, no transportation meant home workouts, motivation was nowhere to be found so that wasn’t happening + my workload was HEAVY. So I took the hint and allowed myself the rest I so often need in this season of life.

I wasn’t okay. And it was okay.

Waves of grief filled me up this week. Missing my old life of being able to do ALL the things. Missing my dad, of course. 🥺🤍

I refuse to give perimenopause that much power over me, but I also have to be realistic about what my body + mind need. Some days I can pour into everybody else. Other days, I need to be the one getting poured into.

Grateful for the people who recognize when I’ve disappeared into my cave + lovingly create that conscious interrupt to pull me back out. 🫶🏼🩵

Rest wasn’t me falling off. It was part of the work. Now we get back to it. 💪🏼🤍 by @_super_vee
