Lots of fun spotting lions from the #lionsofsheffield trail. This beauty painted by @lydiamonks_illustrator was a particular favourite. I wonder what this little ladybird heard?! by @_susanbox_

Are you feeling you-ey today?

In the words of the inimitable Dr Seuss “Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is You-er than you.”

Be more you!

THE CHRISTMAS STAGOSAURUS!

It is only the very lucky who manage to glimpse this magnificent beast frolicking in the snow. They are most active during the winter season and retreat to caves and forests when the weather gets too warm.

This 100% accurate illustration of a Stagosaurus was created for days 9 & 10 of the Twelve Days of Christmas drawing challenge by @jehane_ltd with the prompt of “Silver Stag”.

Why not check out other artwork made for this prompt by clicking on the tags at the bottom of this post?

And, of course, festive thanks to the hosts @bonbiforest @thistlemoon @traceyenglish @abbyjacdesigns @mariamatos_illustration @katherinequinnillustration @meghannrader @illustrationsbymajali @emmagrant_illustrator @bex_parkin @alibrookesdesign @kateheiss @yourcreativegold

I’m a serial offender of posting a large illustration that most people will look at on a teeny tiny phone screen. So I’m making myself also post close ups.

As you’ll know if you saw my previous post, this was for days 5/6 of @jehane_ltd twelve days of Christmas drawing prompts.

Though I couldn’t resist a few extra sneaky “after the event” tweaks. It was just too tempting!

I always love seeing how other people have responded to Jehane’s prompts. So why not click on one of the tags below and see for yourself?

Who says you can’t merge dinosaurs, victorians and Christmas?!

This timeline twisting illustration is a little homage to the iconic engraving of Victoria and Albert with their children around the Christmas tree.

I’ve drawn this in response to a prompt from @jehane_ltd for her annual Twelve Days of Christmas challenge. And it’s still not too late to join in with the festive fun!

And a shout out to all of Jehane’s talented artists @catherinerowestudio @illustrationsbymajali @yourcreativegold @bonbiforest @carolinebonnemuller @helenahpornsiri @alibrookesdesign @traceyenglish @jzemanek_illustration @meghannrader @mariamatos_illustration @thistlemoon

Day 7 of #folktaleweek sees our young explorer’s tale come to an end.

Unfortunately I’m still battling the lurgi and so it’s just two pages of the story itself.

It’s been amazing to see all the different interpretations of the prompts and I’ll definitely be joining in next year - and avoiding the bugs too!

And a final thank you to the hosts @folktaleweek @debrastyer @louve.draws @mayejalukezic

Day 6 of #folktaleweek25 and Fox and Badger’s adventure takes a turn for the better.

As for me, the lurgi I’ve been fighting all week has started to win so I’ve admitted defeat and hit pause on my illustration planned for today. So it’s just these two pages of the story itself.

Remember to swipe for today’s instalment of the story itself.
