Im learning everyday just to take it a day at a time, still trying to make time for things I used to enjoy before. Not every day is going to be easy, some days I’m going to be more tired than others, and more days than others I’ll have Flares but prioritizing self care has been so important to me during this time, as well as living in the moment and appreciating all I have. Oh! And @vegaslashqueenx has been keeping my lashes perfect throughout surgeries and Flare ups, so grateful for her!💕 by @_suzievic

So crazy how quickly this all started.. I remember first thinking how weird my body felt, to feel like you have a Flu almost everyday. Went to my doctors and they said “it’s cause you have a kid, they get sick a lot and they’ll give it to you. That’s how it goes as a parent” Said I was extremely exhausted cause “that’s how it is being a mom and working” my joint swelling was just “normal” pains from past medication and nothing to worry about. Didn’t get until recently when I woke up and no matter how much I slept I was exhausted and wouldn’t be able to move and get out of bed due to the pain. Finally got a new doctor, he said let’s run full Autoimmune labs cause something seems off. Finally the first doctor that took me serious and listened that I was not okay. Got sent to do some rushed labs around 5am on a Saturday, then waiting for the lab results began.. day after had the worst Flare and it was beyond painful since I didn’t know what was going on.. the swelling, the bruising, the joint pain, the face rash, severe migraines, the weight loss rapidly happened.. but I still had to be a mom to these 2 beautiful babies and man has it been hard. I finally got the diagnosis and it was Lupus. It was a difficult appointment to come out of, being told how much my life would change and what to expect out of this disease that I didn’t even know I had until now. I wanted to share this cause well it’s a part of me and my journey in which I share on here, good or bad. Most importantly I wanna bring awareness of Self Advocacy while at the doctors, no matter what they are telling you. You know your body better than anyone. If I would’ve listened to them and accepted their answers I never would’ve found out about my Lupus.

Purpose for this Instagram was to show my fitness journey throughout different stages of my life, as well as beautiful moments with friends and family! 8 months ago I gave birth to such an amazing baby boy but with giving birth came weight gain. I was absolutely terrified to gain weight and lose the body that I worked hard for, but throughout the 9 months I realized that it’s healthy and it’s perfectly okay. Especially because I was growing a human being. My weight journey post partum has been a struggle but I’m so happy to see the changes slowly start to show. 23lbs down and getting closer to my weight I want to be at. For anyone that knows me knows I’ve had fertility problems and suffered with endometriosis pain everyday. It’s gotten so bad to the point my doctor gave me a choice hysterectomy or have another baby so of course I was not ready to give up my dream of being a mom again. This pregnancy has been kept to myself and the ones closest to me since it has not been easy on me and my body. I’m so blessed to say my son is finally here and is healthy🥺 Aries Theodore💙 born 10/19/23 7lbs 2oz 20inch💙
